IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
No disagreement here. I love my different 14 oz pairs, and they still look really sharp.
Fade trade off? Sure, but ultra comfortable and wearable.
-
Once you go 25oz your never go back.
Put some elbow grease in it they become mega soft.
Sometime I can’t be bothered I will wear the 21oz keep the comfort of softness.
UHR. The first version was the best, second version doesn’t feel stubborn than the old version.
I worn 18oz Beatle buster. Only pair I went lower to.
14oz to thin for me. I will rip them in few weeks, won’t handle my job.
Make your own choices what make you happy and comfortable

Received mine today and the first reaction of my girlfriend was "WHY?" when she picked up this rigid pile of cardboard
I have to say, the feel better than the 21oz 634 that I tried as SE. Of course stiffer, but fit wise they are pretty perfect.
Out of curiosity: the description says, expect an inch of shrinkage in the waist, but so far all of my denim stretches back/out a bit after being worn - is this not the case with those? -
@Alexander Yes, they will stretch out with time and wear.
-
@goosehd ok, so net net - if they fit now, they will also fit post future wash and break-in. I should not buy them "too big" now so that they shrink down in the future? (and I should also not have them being super tight of course)
-
@Alexander Buy them to fit now (waist) and you should be good. All other areas will just about be impossible to stretch back out. The waist will take a bit of work to stretch out with a little time and effort.
-
@goosehd Fantastic! They are perfect as they are - I can see them become my favorite pair of denim based on my developing love for wider fits.
I also just got a pair of the Blacksign 15oz Vocalion (see images) and these are a great right in the middle between those and my 777S in terms of fit. Not as high rise, not as wide (leg opening on the BS is 10.2) - a great cut to wear with basically anything. -
My new friend just walked into the door after a short bath - standing strong on his loong 37 inch legs.
-
@Twistlock oh yes!
-
@Oaktavia those look like they got a wash, yeah?

@Twistlock Awesome! What is the strategy behind the first soak?
-
Recommended as per the guidelines, but mot mandatory. Gets rid of the starch, any shrinkage and beds down the constructional stitching. Will make them last longer.

Yep, that's why @long_john86

@popvulture no washes. I do dry my hands on my thighs after washing them sometimes, picked that up from Filthy. But these jeans have not been been washed, no.
