@olblue Yeah, I love to see how the different "lifestyle" of people impacts the look of the jeans. Like you can clearly see if someone is riding a bike to work or spends a lot of time on the knees etc....
All of them will turn out magnificent though. I think it does not really matter what you do with them as long as you wear them constantly. -
@olblue Excellent picture of the two of you as well, there must have easily been 20lbs of Iron Heart in that photo!
Was it you that had the great Oni Chore Coat for the last Redline Rally? Voted for that one, not easy to get those fades with that denim.
-
@JunkPants appreciated mate, always love being in the full IH suit with the boys. Definitely got some weight on in that photo.
Appreciate the vote! That was me with the Oni. Absolutely love that thing. Was very lucky to creep into that top 10. Glad you were feeling it
It’s one special denim -
@olblue Nice, top ten well deserved man!
(I dig the Oni denim as well, although quite different from most Iron Heart denim). -
Appreciated my man. Definitely a difference between the two but both are phenomenal. Glad you’re feeling the Oni…would love to see more people fade the 20 oz secret denim
-
@olblue Spot on! Awesome fades broooo
-
@denim-dawg thanks doggy and right back at you
-
@Jcaz6996 Ah.... man.. that makes so much sense haha.. next year! My pockets are totally covered by the phone... looks like I have a miniature Han-solo in carbonate in my right one...
-
Ahhh, man i think slowley the denim comes alive... Guess the main part why my SBG isn't fading faster is that i can wear it only 6 hours a day but i'm happy how they evolve so far... -
Decided to go for a first wash. Longest I've ever gone without a wash, by far, at 115 days.
They were getting that slick/greasy feel which I can't stand. No smell though. They also have the beginnings of some crotch blowouts, which is quite unusual in my case. Worn through the back belt loop as well. Seems clear to me (and seems to be common knowledge) that wearing a pair for this long without washing takes more of a toll on the denim. In the machine now. 40C, no spin, inside out, with some Woolite Dark. Did a fairly long, warm soak first, trying to avoid marbling if I can. The water was surprisingly clear after the soak, and no funny smells
Here are some before pictures. Will take some after pictures tomorrow.

@JunkPants these look awesome! curious about the weight and tried to zoom in on the patch…very cool to see a collab with s.o.p. Keep burning
-
Almost 4 months old. Still holding off on washing. No soaks no mercy!
-
@olblue Thanks! These are 21oz SBG, essentially 777S-SBG by a different name (BS69xSOP420).
Your pair is looking great! Keep holding off if you can.
I caved, haha -
@JunkPants they’re looking fabulous, great job!
@olblue Man these pics make want to grab some XHS as my next pair
here’s my 4 month update
-
@JunkPants thanks brother, 21 oz SBGs are definitely on the want list. Love heavyweight black denim
-
@weftyarn these look great love the 888 cut. The XHS have been such a blast. It’s honestly my first pair of bottoms from IH. Got my eye on these black beauty’s though when they go they’re gonna go
-
@weftyarn Thanks man, same to you!
-
@olblue The SBG is great, and easy to wear year round I find. Highly recommended. I dig the black denim look as well, all the way from brand new to totally faded out. (Check out @beef_bonanza 's pair in the 555S-SBG thread).
And XHSbb is awesome if you can find a pair.Truth be told though, as much as I dig the SBG, if I had to do it over I'd go with XHS/XHSib. Not quite as practical perhaps, but more fun imo.

@olblue These are looking great dude!
