@Nocturama 3 London games this year!? The market must be doing well cross the pond.
I asked this before but didn’t hear anything, any of you Brits can chime in on the vibe the NFL is having amongst the population over there? Is it gaining steam?
There have been multiple games a year for years, mate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_International_Series#London_Games
I'm not sure if I would say it is still gaining steam, but you can see from the increase in games over time, and the attendence stats on the link above that all the games are typically sell outs, and NFL in general is pretty popular.
They were talking about moving a franchise here for a while (the Jags - see how often they have been the "home" team) but that idea lost traction when they started doing well in like 2016/17, and I think people underestimate the time difference's impact on players. Would be tough for teams from the west coast to travel to London often, for example.
-
@Alex right. I knew the NFL had been playing there. (I thought there was only two games a season up until now). Also that talks of moving a team over potentially was being discussed. I agree. It would be really unfair for any team that had to take that on.
Guess I’ve been more wondering how it’s being received over there. I know the NFL will pump unlimited money into expanding. Wasn’t sure if tickets were being offered for cheap to help promote it all or if there was genuinely a huge interest from the British population.
Games in Mexico are on the rise. And now a first in Brazil. I’ve been curious how much is the NFL agenda or actual interest from the expansion country’s population.
I was just curious to hear a real life countryman’s take on the situation.

No, I don't think this is the case, there is genuine interest to get the games to sell out. I have been to at least one game every year since 2009, tickets have been anything from £50-250 over the course of time, and how good the seats were which is in the same sort of bracket that tickets to the Saints cost me a couple of years ago from memory

See you week 2 @Mizmazzle ans @mclaincausey
-
@Choko that should make for some good story line if Russel holds down your starter position.
Hard to say for sure, but I’m not complaining about the Broncos schedule. Bengals and the Chiefs will be a struggle. Could give Bo Nix a fighting chance to get his feel wet without breaking his mind, body, and soul.
-
@Oaktavia Stavvy is such a funny comedian. Great way to promote the new schedule!
-
@Danimal506 yeah man I was surprised to see him on the Ravens Instagram. He is hilarious, I have been listening to his podcast, Stavvy's World, which is pretty great. I love the advice calls they respond to.

Yeah, my tastes in humor are a little different. I never like Larry the Cable Guy and he seems to be of a similar style. Coincidentally I started watching the John Mullaney Everybody’s in LA special last night and he made a guest appearance. The only thing he take about was using the bathroom.

Chiefs kicker went full r****d at a commencement speech. I have so many questions mainly where is the “shut up and play football” crowd?
-
@mclaincausey lol yeah that speech was horrible.
AP News: "'I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you,' Butker said.
'Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother,' he said.Butker said that his wife embraced 'one of the most important titles of all. Homemaker.'"

gotta love an outspoken kicker Mrs Butker, blink twice if you're alright
