Curious, does anyone else rotate/wear/wash their denim based off the current level of “stink” and the activities to ensue? As in, wow, this one is really ripe… *pull out of rotation and add to the sweaty yard work pile and push a few more days of wear before wash.

@flannel-slut After getting over the initial "washing will prevent the fades!" I tend to just wash as and when needed

For the most part, I do wash when smelly or dirty but come summer and yard work; I need to wash, literally every time. I’ve been moving some of these items that could use a wash into my “working in my workwear” pile before cleaning.
However, still can not be bothered to wash behind my ears. -
certainly not moving these stinky items into the date night pile. BUT I may need to reconsider moving these stinkies into my "going through customs pile"... Moses and the Red Sea sounds like it could have major advantages
-
Hopefully your washing with a good detergent, sometimes a stench has been known to remain in fibers after washing.

@ROman none of my IH gear holds much odor and does air out very well but will say my RGT ISC shirt gets stinky no time, like a super power
-
@flannel-slut since I don't live in a very warm climate I can stretch out the periods of "no wash" by hanging my denim outside in the cooler nights. Also my workplace has aircon. But I have never worn a pair of jeans longer than 100 days without a gentle wash. Even if they don't smell, they still get dirty or stained at some point

I happened upon an interview of Daniel Day Lewis and it almost looked like he had a Iron Heart shirt on. Can anyone confirm?
Looks like it had the western yokes in front but not in back -
Hi all,
i´ve got a more genereal question.
How important is the shouldermeasurement if the chest size is correct ?
If read somewhere that you only have to take look at the shoulder measurement if the sleeves are very long or short in relation to your own measurements. -
In my opinion it’s the most important measurement. It’s easy to see when the shoulders are too big and it’s nearly impossible to fix when tailoring. Shoulders are the first dimension I look at when checking sizes.
@goosehd please move this topic to the appropriate area in the forum.

Questions to the guys who like to expand the wear before washing as much as possible: what do you do when you have been sick? It's recommended to not wear clothes or use towels/ sheets again after sicknes, what do you do?
-
@FlavourFade I’ve been curious about the same thing before and looked it up. Probably worth verifying, but something like Covid doesn’t last long on surfaces, iirc a day tops, and things like the flu for only like 3-4 days max. I’d probably wash my jeans because they stink a lot sooner than I’d wash em for fear of spreading a contagion, but who knows. Unless, of course, the stink is the contagion

@popvulture haha ! Funny you thought about that too. Yeah when there is smell I can't get rid off with a good old hanging outside over night a wash is needed. But good to hear that I don't have to be afraid of an unlimited sickness loop
