IH-888S-SLBod - 16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Relaxed Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
The overdyed process removes all shrinkage from the fabric so leg twist should be a non issue.
-
In general skew is associated with unsanforized and non washed fabric. I think the slb is both sanforized and once washed so skew should be minimal if any.

@ler224 See Here for a previous question regarding the indigo version and @Giles answer to the question quoted below.
@Giles said in IH-777S-SLB - 16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo:
Unless all the character is sucked out of a denim by skewing it massively post weave, it will be prone to some skew (if it is left or right hand twill, that is). Different batches of the same denim will skew differently, so will jeans sewn on different sewing machines. Don’t fight it, celebrate it (or stick with broken twill or plain weave)…..

My pair arrived today. Looking forward to beating these things up. Not much discussion on the bottoms as of yet, so I am hoping to change that. The jackets I have seen are looking amazing so far, hoping the bottoms evolve just as nicely. The texture is so interesting, I have 16oz slubs and 14oz overdye, so this combo should be killer!

I come from wearing the 777
These are tag 35. Maybe a 36 would be better?
-
@derek111 they look great! Are they as soft as they look? Patiently waiting for the 555 SLBod
-
@MassiveThighs Those jeans will stretch pretty easily and I think you should be good to keep those. They look pretty good and the only place they look tight is in the waist. IMO that's a good thing as it's the easiest to stretch.
-
@derek111 I got you! I love the slubby OD type iii but already have a couple of similar jackets so I’m definitely in for a pair of the jeans. Would love to see a slubby OD western or CPO shirt!
-
Can you:
- Squat;
- Lunge;
- Tie your shoe laces; and
- Sit in a chair
comfortably? Then they fit.
If the only tight part is the waist, then FYI I got around 1.5 inches of stretch out of the waistband on my 888S-SLB (the non-OD variety!). That was a tag 34 waist from the original run, which was a little bit larger in the top-block overall than the latest run, so more akin to a tag 35 in the latest run.

@goosehd yeah I’ve been wearing them and they have loosened up like you said. I think I should be getting 1 size down or a bit slimmer for the future because most of my denim after wear doesn’t sit on my waist because of the stretch and have to wear a belt haha
-
@EdH ya all good now that it has loosen up!
