Exactly- that's why I'm counting on you, @Tago-Mago , and anyone else in Germany to help me discover all the hidden gems

@TENDREL - Dr John is simply incredible in the amount of styles and beats he manages to pack in - while still sounding like Dr John.
artists like him are a big inspiration -

…. help me discover all the hidden gems
There are a lot off the road next to Can and Neu!
But often hidden because of- insanity
- one hit wonder
- crap recording technology
…
Shure we’ll find some gems in the next months.

@prpx I listened to this album for the first time this week. First run through was kinda tough - seemed a bit weird and hard to groove to. I can see how it was groundbreaking though. I need to run it back a few times and let it soak in. I've been on the look out for In the Right Place.

@68degreesorless - yeah, not as groovy as his later works but still, all the crazy rhythms and weird little noises, catchy melodies.
also check out his piano record if you like crazy tempo piano playing (plays mac rebennack, himself, is the name of the record) -
Perfect summer chillin’ tunes
