IHSN-01 - Low Top Sneakers in 21oz Selvedge Indigo, 21oz Superblack, 21oz White

@Mizmazzle ill be honest, i did not notice any stretch in the toe area … everywhere else yes. Summer time, it gets hot, and feet start to swell up, not fun. I just use them when it gets cooler and im good
-
Tracked down these 9s thanks to @travisxray
The white denim is definitely a lot softer and collapses the shoe shape more than the super black, which is more rigid. But these fit a lot better. Really comfortable.I’m going to dye them black this weekend. Should be a fun project.
-
@Mizmazzle I hope these will be easier on the feet! They look sharp as they are, but I’m sure they’ll look cool once you’ve dyed them too.
-
@Mizmazzle I also really like the white ones and they look great on you my friend
-
@Mizmazzle so happy for you buddy!! Hope to see the black dyed ones soon
-
@Mizmazzle Wow! Turned out great
-
@Danimal506 thanks man. Pretty happy with them so far. Hoping the color stays this dark once they’re fully dry.
-
@Mizmazzle a perfect job my friend, congratulations
-
@Mizmazzle wowGreat job
-
@Mizmazzle awesome job!! Are these meant to fade over time or will they stay black?
-
@FlavourFade great question. I suppose this sort of dye method is more like an over dye…so I’m assuming they will lighten up over time. Not really sure though to be honest.

How's the color looking now that they are dry?
-
@GraemeE Funny you should ask…just got home and they are fully dry. Here’s the final result…
Hard to tell, but the dyed ones are not as deep black and have a slight purple hue in bright light. I’m really happy with how they turned out. Dig the contrast stitching. I really love how deep black the super black denim is, but these dyed black ones are going to work for me just fine
-
@Mizmazzle they look great
That purple hint seems to come with the territory when trying to overdye any type of fabric black in my experience - i have never successfully achieved "true" black
-
@GraemeE thanks dude. I’m really happy with the result. They almost look more in line with the indigo version with the contrast stitching and slight purple hue.
I purposely used the whole bottle of dye hoping to get them as black as possible. The Vaseline trick on the soles worked wonders. The soles are just as clean and white as the new undyed pair.
No complaints at all. Stoked to find a pair that fit me!
-
@Mizmazzle they are gorgeous friend, even the contrasting stitching that I love, very good you made a masterpiece
-
@Mizmazzle Dude those turned out so good. I like the contrast stitching a lot, honestly I think I prefer the ones you dyed over the others. I’m glad I was able to help you track a pair down!
