IHSH-352-BLU - 10oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Blue
-
180 days couldn’t resist to give a 3rd wash
-
@Mindfulbiscuit Looks awesome!!! ODs are beasts to tame but you are killing it
-
@FlavourFade thank you Evos with indigo od our very miss leading and almost hidden defently take longer to evolve, now I know what the fuse is all about
-
@Mindfulbiscuit I have just bought this shirt. Thanks for the updates, the subtle fades look great.
-
Some micro progress on the 352 after its second machine wash. Hard to fade but a genuinely beautiful shirt.. some more lighter weight denim shirts please IH
-
@DeeDee85 definitely harder to fade I think due to the weight of the fabric
-
@Mindfulbiscuit agreed, a lot less crispy to hold the creases like it’s bigger brothers
-
@DeeDee85 great progress! I'd love some lighter but more rigid and stiff fabrics. I overheat very quickly with everything over 12 oz when I wear it as a shirt and not open sadly...
-
@DeeDee85 yeah I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t getting those crispy fades makes sense now
-
@FlavourFade thank you! I tend to run hot most of the time too unfortunately.. through the summer months I’ve only really managed to wear this 352 and my madras shirt. Back in the 17oz duck and kersey now though
-
@FlavourFade and good call, a 10oz denim shirt woven under high tension like the 16oz would be awesome wouldn’t it!
-
@Mindfulbiscuit seems like there’s only you and I plugging away at this one, yours looks fantastic by the way!
-
@DeeDee85 dude I was thinking the same
-
@Mindfulbiscuit I’m gonna to give this a break and move on with the sashiko for 6 months and see how that goes
-
@DeeDee85 @Mindfulbiscuit I’ve got mine waiting in the wings, but you guys are inspiring me to get going on it, but maybe next spring/summer now.
-
@Mister_Brue I’m sure you’ll exceed us,’no pressure
-
@DeeDee85 it's funny how on some days in the summer even the 10oz chambray is too much while now I am living in xhs and uhf's
-
@FlavourFade I know.. I’m yet to try the XHS, I’ve been worried with being hot blooded that they won’t work for me. Saying that though, I was so happy after recently switching from 14oz to 21oz SBG when the temps dropped. So unbelievably soft and cosy maybe I could do the XHS in the coldest of the winter months?
-
@DeeDee85 tbh I can do heavy bottoms way better than tops... Have been wearing 21oz whole summer with only a couple days swapping to my ducks. But will try some 14oz maybe next summer.
I think 25oz is great even when its not freezing because they get very soft and breathable. Maybe not like 21oz but still comfy for me
-
@DeeDee85 I'm very much hot blooded as well. (UHFs for instance are just too warm for me for regular use, even in winter in Norway). But like @FlavourFade it's only really an issue for tops in my case.
And if you haven't tried XHS, you really should! Most fun and enjoyable piece of clothing/fabric I've ever come across. The ultimate denim in my opinion, and something that just makes daily life a little bit better
