IHM-37-BLK - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Black

@goosehd Thank you for the reply.
Do you know how much the lining in this jacket plays into sizing?
I know the chest in the two shirts are 23.5 for the XXL and 24.4 XXXL.
So I dont know if I should buy the XXL with a chest of 24.6 or XXXL with 25.7 because of the extra bulk in the lining. -
@lolnah It all depends on how you want it to fit. I have 2 N-1 jackets and 2 N-1 Vests, one set (jacket /vest) of which is for layering and TTS (true to size - same as my other IH shirts) and one set (sized down) for a slim fit that I could layer under if needed (prefer not to).
The measurements of your shirt is key to understanding what size you need in a jacket as well as how do you plan on wearing it. Layering and you will need more space, over a t-shirt and you can go slimmer.

FWIW I went with an XL in the deck jacket. I’m an XXL in UHFs.
-
Jacket looks amazing but the sleeve length is way too long, even by IH standards
-
@jeremychlee this is something we’ve fed back to WORKS in the past, and they are looking at it for future runs

Can anyone give me any pointers how one would purchase a IH N1 deck jacket?
I am new to the brand and recently bought a type III denim jacket and now wanted a N1 and can't seem to find one.
I have been looking at all US/Canadian retailers for the past 3 months and it seems like they are absolutely unavailable anywhere.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Deck jackets errwhere

@nwills besides the brown here's a list of jackets to be released this fall/winter, a number of which will be N1s: F/W24 jackets

@Tago-Mago @goosehd @tody
Sweet! I am looking for a black in size large or medium. Not sure of my size in that jacket so was thinking of ordering both and returning the one that doesn’t fit. From the sounds of it my best bet is to keep my eyes on the IH UK website and check for an inventory refresh on that particular model?
Thanks to all for the replies…I am so excited about getting this jacket!
-
@nwills You should definitely be excited - it's in a class of its own. It is my go-to winter jacket.
In regard to sizing, your best option is to get in touch with the crew at shop@ironheart.co.uk once the measurements have been published. They will offer you good advice on sizing. I doubt you'll need to order two sizes.
Also, they wont generally sell out that quick, so returning for a different size should always be an option. -
@nwills couple of things to make life easier: go to the product page and register your interest. Secondly, hit the bell at the top of the relevant forum thread, which will notify you whenever someone posts something in that thread, e.g. the crew to update the page prior to release.
With regards to sizing, as you already have an IH jacket you will be able to use this as a starting point when discussing sizing for the N1. Generally speaking, the crew will post which size they take and you can check if you share sizes with one of the guys. And they are always happy to help you out with sizing advice as mentioned by @tody, which will save everyone the aggro of having to deal with buying/shipping/returning more than one size

@seminolepilot looks like a killer fit. Im same size and sooooo on fence with L/XL. Id like the layer room but the arms are sooooo un proportionally long sizing up. Almost 3 in longer than most jacket. Curious how much of those chest and shoulder measurements gets eatin up by the lining as well

Im in the same boat.
6' 1", 176 lbs, 43.3" chest.
(184cm, 80kg and 110cm chest)I prefer a relaxed fit, so I'm leaning towards the XL, but I'm a bit worried about the sleeve length. So L is also tempting. If I go with the L, I’m ready to probably only wear it with a t-shirt.
-
@EastClintwood you’re similar in size to me, I went XL to layer. With this pattern it’s going to look good in either size IMHO.
-
@EastClintwood im gonna cop the xl , ive been burned twice on ih jackets being so slim before. I vigoursly read measurements to lol . Its gonna be tricky to with this sleeve style to get tailored if need be and u cant just roll them
-
@Brandrea alright its go time then xl it is
-
@caseyjonez awesome man! Excited for you!
