Iron Heart X Simmons Bilt Horsehide Western Shirt - The Pale Rider - Natural
-
@Alex so I have to save up for two 1.5k shirts shit
-
@denim-dawg nice one
-
@FlavourFade indigo dipped pale rider? Jesus Christ
-
@DeeDee85 yeah or black overdyed green leather like the "matcha core" from sagara
-
Does anyone have an issues with their shoulders riding up like this? I havent worn mine out yet, but are these shoulders going to settle down a bit with wear? Its really concerning and looks ridiculous when I have it buttoned up.
-
@Beecherarts mine was exactly the same yes.. I ended up selling mine on but I’m pretty sure most owners of these have said the shoulders do relax in time
-
@Beecherarts I have the previous version with different leather, and although it got better, the shoulder hump never fully settled. The shirt is a bit too tight across the shoulders for me now, so not getting any wear....
-
@Beecherarts
I have all 3 westerns and they all 3 have it to some degree. So far they have mild wear and has not settled down. At first I thought it was from hangers but I’m not totally sure I agree with that after looking at it more -
@Tobi Oh no, now I don’t know what to do. I’m scared to wear it, afraid that the shoulders might never shape to me. Iron heart did mention I could exchange it for a big buck, and pay the difference. But I’m torn because since this is the last brand new one of the old version, I’d like to keep it.
-
@kkibbey23 Which ones do you have? Do you have a big buck?
-
Both big bucks and the original leather on the pale rider.
-
How do you guys think this fits for me???
-
@Beecherarts I wouldn’t have noticed it in these pics if you hadn’t pointed it out in the first picture you posted. It looks great.
I guess it depends if you are comfortable wearing it (physically and mentally ). Personally I tried one on in the summer, and decided it wasn’t for me. I’m eyeing up a Big Buck too.
Good luck; these sorts of decisions aren’t easy. ️

@Beecherarts dude! Looks dope as hell. If you got rid of that you’d be sorry. That leather is special and like you said, it’s not coming back. Keep rocking that thing and it will reward you. Just takes time to take some shape. But once you start getting some wear and aging on it you’ll be a very happy man!
Edit: I do agree with @Mister_Brue if the style of the shirt is too over the top that’s another story. You’ve got to feel comfortable wearing it, because it needs to be worn a lot to get to the epic stages it can obtain.
But if it’s a fit question, I think it’s spot on.
-
Yeah, I agree that’s a good fit. The shoulder thing I didn’t even notice for a while but now I do….. That being said it’s mostly on my black big buck, the green doesn’t have it as bad and the pale rider even less.
That leather is awesome and won’t be back
-
@Beecherarts it looks good to me even with what you have pointed out. I would personally still wear it. Definitely worth keeping in my opinion.
-
Thanks everyone, I think I am going to keep it, and you're right...the leather isn't coming back since the new pales are transitioning into a new leather/process. I wish there was .5 to 1" more on the shoulders, though. I still want to pick up a big buck this week.....now the question is, green or black?!
-
@Beecherarts black
-
@kkibbey23 what do you wear the most out of the three? Which is your favorite? What sizes did you go for, and what are you measurements? Bonus for pictures! Sorry for all the questions
-
While I do agree that every piece of clothing has its story, if it doesn’t make you comfortable— you ultimately won’t feel good in it. In that first photo you do seem a bit uncomfortable. If I’m being honest I haven’t worn mine as much for the same reason. The leather is just a bit unforgiving for a western shirt. The new leather seems so much softer.
