@GraemeE I was a big fan of Slade's music and at the time was in a band that covered 2 of their songs. Their live shows involved ,in my opinion, way too much of being told to clap your hands ,stamp your feet etc. before they would play just about every song. When they eventually got around to playing a song they were actually quite good. The audience participation that worked so well for them at home just seemed to frustrate them,when it wasn't happening here. Saw them open for T-Rex,which was a great double bill. Fun fact...They were managed by former Animals bassist and Jimi Hendrix manager,Chas Chandler.
