@Tago-Mago That's what I was just listening to, and I was in awe!

Feb 19 can't come soon enough. Really enjoying the new album. Lopez will probably always be my favourite Opeth drummer, but the new guy fits the sound much better than his predecessor. And Opeth would not sound the same without Mendez on bass, the guy is criminally underrated

@Tago-Mago I shared this with my brother in law, and he said it sounds like punk polka, and I think that's a pretty amazing description.

Waxahatchee - Tigers Blood album is in my most listened to this year list. Beautiful songs. Her Tiny Desk set went live this week and is worthy of a view:
Trivia point - That's Jeff Tweedy's son Spencer on the drums!

I kind of went on a Son Volt bender last night and was reminded how amazing Eric Haywood’s pedal steel playing is. I’ve seen him live many times with various acts and his playing always stood out to me. Richard Buckner did an entire album covering the poetry of Edgar Lee Masters called The Hill and I got to see him perform it in an intimate setting when it released (back in the day) and Haywood’s performance was incredible. Anyway here’s a cool little interview with him. He’s played on some great records…

@SKT we love Son Volt and everything in that network of alt country. Good call on the steel.

@Matt and anyone else you shared my annoyance at this one not being on Spotify

Love Joe Cocker. Mad Dogs & Englishmen live album gets many spins, as we also love Leon Russell.
