IHSB-B3-YEL - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Type B-3 Flight Jacket - Vintage Yellow
An iconic piece of military history, the Type B-3 flying jacket was first introduced in 1934 and worn by the USAAF until May 1943, when it was superseded by the ANJ-4. This reinterpretation of the B-3 bomber is a collaboration between Iron Heart and Simmons Bilt, made from 15mm shearling sheepskin leather and finished with oiled steer hide trims and reinforced seams for durability.
Handmade in Scotland, the jacket stays true to the original design with features such as buckle-fastening cinches and double collar straps. Subtle upgrades, including a heavy-duty two-way zipper and an additional map pocket, have been added to enhance functionality and versatility. Finished in a vintage yellow colourway with brass hardware, this distinctive take on the classic B-3 design combines authenticity, striking style, and exceptional warmth, thanks to the 15mm wool fleece lining throughout. Please note that you may notice subtle indentations in the collar fleece. These are caused by the stitching of the collar straps into the sheepskin and are not defects in the fleece.

Holy f!
@Ross Do we know anything about the eta of the smaller sizes? Thanks.
-
Do you recommend going up in size twice ? I’m almost always an XL in IH but these measurements seem pretty small
-
@Joe_M Au contraire!
-
Damn my size sold out as I was contemplating.. Any chance XXL will restock soon ?
-
I didn’t expect them to sell so quickly, but I guess there are very limited numbers.
-
@Mister_Brue yea apparently so, I’m tempted to bite the bullet and take an XL as it’s my UHF size but these measurements seem to be running very small. Maybe it’s just me tho ?
-
@GandalftheGray There is also the thickness of the fleece to consider. I think most people were sizing up on the brown flight jacket, but it’s not an easy decision without trying one on.

@Alex Sorry, but to confirm: there were no Medium and Larges made on this run? Thanks.
