Found out about this US-based (Seattle, WA) company on styleforum.
Check it out. The down vests look incredible. Prices are not mentioned on the website.http://www.crescentdownworks.com/company.html
Check out the following article :

http://www.inventorymagazine.com/updates/?tag=crescent-down-worksThe only place you can seem to buy these are at South Willard. The prices are very reasonable (under $200). I think I'm gonna splurge ! They have a few muted but beautiful colors and the smallest is an XXS (34).

Hello! Does anyone have any of the jackets from Crescent Down Works? I have been perusing their stuff recently and would be really interested in a down sweater but I have never seen anything from them.
They did a 50 year run this year with 2 waxed canvas options without the hood and a wool collar and cuffs from Dehen which I have been staring at for days. Luckily (not really) they're sold out already.

@BalticBob I do not, but they have a very solid reputation in the otudoor community and the fill powers and construction techniques they use lead me to assume that they are extremely warm. I have had my eye on them for many years.

I grew up in Seattle and Crescent Down Works was always well respected, especially since they also ran a skateboard shop for a while. For the more outdoorsy people Feathered Friends is maybe better.

Nice, thanks for the feedback. I have had my eye on them for some time but I'm not really the biggest fan of the Nylon or poly cotton stuff, I get that it has some charm to it and it's light and durable but I don't really see myself grabbing it.
Then I realize they also do some limited runs of actually nice stuff like I mentioned before and well, this changes things. Did anyone see this?

@Nik shoot. FF actually who I was thinking about.

@mclaincausey My brother has an EOS from Feathered Friends that he uses daily in winter.
