IH-822-IND - Double Knee 21oz Selvedge Denim Engineer's Pants - Indigo

How are you guys finding the waist size of these. Smaller than normal? I ordered through Brooklyn Clothing and the 33 didn’t even measure 32. I’ll exchange for a bigger size so no big deal. I took the measurements off the IH website, but these did not measure 33.3.
-
@deanclean looks like a tag 33 should be close to a 32.5” according the size chart.
I did notice my tag 32s came in at a 31.5” measured the IH way….(an inch less than the size chart) which gave me a huge scare when I measured before trying on. Fortunately I was able to fit into mine ok. They will stretch 1.5” or more even. So mine should be perfect in the end as I like a 33” waist.
But I did experience what you’re describing.

Thanks @Mizmazzle, at least I know I wasn’t measuring wrong. I’ll size up and should be good to go.
-
@deanclean I went with 33's and Bailey found a 33.8 for me. Waist is great.
-
Thanks @anodyne i wish I had ordered sooner and could have got that IH quality service!
-
@Mizmazzle I demand that you do the "different fits" post for every drop now. Makes it more dangerous for me but still enjoy the fitpics the most. Maybe even more than the faded ones
-
@FlavourFade haha. Glad to be of service. Did you pick up a pair of 822s??
-
@Mizmazzle not yet! I'm between a couple different cuts, need something for the warmer months and the 21oz denim is great for that!

Only place on the planet where a 21oz fabric is the summer option
-
@mclaincausey 21oz is great for Texas “winter”. When it’s 40 degrees one day and 80 the next haha
-
@mclaincausey we have 20 degrees celsius (68f) the whole year at work so I could even wear xhs most days no problem. But the 21oz is breathable enough to be worn in german summers, besides the very hot days when you wear shorts anyway

Evening chores were special tonight. Before heading to the barn the following occurred:
Step 1: open package
Step 2: inspect, read accompanying literature, appreciate and put on.
Step 3: feed and water the chickens.
Step 4: collect the eggsThanks IH crew for the perfect hem and prompt delivery to Alberta Canada.

@Mizmazzle I never considered it, but yes the angle of the pockets really helps with comfort.
I also really like that little triangle of denim in between the pocket and double front, I am excited to see how this section fades over time.
-
@Danimal506 yeah dude! The more I wear these things the more the little details start to reveal themselves. I actually love the top block on these. The fit is really comfortable through the thigh without being baggy.
-
@Mizmazzle I agree, I love the top block! I can sit down in any position and feel comfortable.
Great work pants for construction too. On the occasions I wear them to work. Who would’ve thought that work pants make good pants to wear to work? hahah
-
@Danimal506 haha...I've been so enamored with the high rise of the 888 i kind of forgot about the benefits of a lower rise....
