Yep. And as much as I also like Charles, good to see Lewis finally post a lower time than him.

I like Charles but I’m team Carlos this season. I think it’ll be the best season Williams has had in a while.

I agree. And while they will not win the constructors, they may win the nicest team award.

@Bridger I believe in Vowles and would love to see them top of the middle.
-
@mclaincausey Who doesn't believe in Vowles. He made being a nerd sexy
-
@Bridger honestly one of the most interesting voices on the grid. I could listen to him nerd out for hours
-
100% @mclaincausey!
He must have learned a lot at Merc and under Toto.
Great that he has his "own" shop now.
I hope Alex does okay in....2nd seat.

Good man

@Bridger nah this was the year I only had walkabout tickets. there's a place where you can go to wait for the drivers and team to arrive and enter the paddock. caught and took photos with a few drivers and karun chandhok as well.
the singapore gp is worth the experience at least once. night race, you could do walkabout tickets (cheapest option) or be at one of the stands with a guaranteed seat. you can also choose if you wanna go for either of the 3 days or for all 3 days, which is pretty flexible. but price wise, Suzuka will be my best pick.
heading there in a month for the GP

Have you been to Suzuka before @louisbosco? I have been thinking about taking my dad next year and combining it with the cherry blossoms for my mum.
Where did you buy tickets and where are you staying?
I think the Japanese fans will be awesome.
-
@Bridger yeah I have, but in 2023, that race was in September. This year will be my first in april. The Japanese fans are amazing and the most expressive when it comes to showing their support.
Bad thing about the clash with cherry blossom is that the prices for hotels and stuff tend to be sky high in Tokyo and major cities.
That said, we’re staying in Nagoya again for the F1. And heading back to Tokyo for a week after. It will take about an hour to get to the circuit. The small town near the circuit have accomodation too but they get booked out a year in advanced by teams and media and could be hard to find availability.
If you wanna know more, do message me. I can share more info
-
@Bridger you can get tickets from F1’s website or the Japanese site for Suzuka circuit

They do mention you need a Japanese address, although I didn’t have issues this year. I have my Japanese mate on standby when I book tickets just to be safe.
In 2023 when I booked, the physical tickets were sent to her mom’s place and we picked them up on the way down to Nagoya from Kobe. But seems like this year they’re going digital, which is a bummer if you’re one of those that like memorabilia.
2023 I sat on the S curves, which was about 48,000 jpy. This year we wanted the high stands in section B over looking turns 1 and 2 but that was sold out pretty quick. So we’re at the end of the start finish straight just before turn 1 and 2 this year. This ones cost about 79,000jpy. New location, so excited to see what’s it like.

Awesome @louisbosco!
Thank you so much for all this detail. That's a great help
