There is a place in Shibuya called OT+E that has some (very little) IH gear, the topmost one on this page: http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/ot-emens/shop/index.htm
Hinoya Plus Mart in Ueno (less than half an hour with the Yamanote line from Shibuya) had quite a bit of IH as well, probably the widest selection in the central Tokyo area. Only up to XL in tops though.
I strongly suggest that you take the time to visit The Works in Hachioji if you have the time for it.

I'm really liking the look of their khaki's. (With the exception of the dip in the back pockets.)

Geo, the standard that we and all of the Japanese companies that I know of, use oz per square yard, so width of bolt irrelevant….
every day i learn something new - thanks G
so to get the weight a piece of raw cloth 1 yard square is weighed (and the same cloth sanforised is cut to 1 yard square and weighed in a similar manner)?

Thank you. I was comparing my work clothes (300 grams / m^2) to IH gear.
yup - an engineer . . . and i couldn't get my head around wtf a unit of mass was being used to measure density but i think Mr G has cleared that up for me
