IHVB-01 - Iron Heart/Viberg Indigo and black Scout Boot
-
thanks - should be here tomorrow!

Um…. I got this crazy idea to save up for these, fully aware that they are probably not going to be available when I get the money. Anyways... I'm a 12 in Nikes, could a 11 be possible for me? Maybe I'm lucky and none of the other big guys want a pair in the next few month. Actually I'm quite surprised that there are still so many sizes around, I thought these would have been gone in a second.
-
I really did think that people would just go nuts over these and disregard the price tag… But then I'm really new around here and I do not know that much about what sells fast and what not. What you said makes complete sense and I hope they still sell well enough to justify further collabs like this.
-
Ugh, I'm going to start calling my inner editor madmonday. (He won't be happy I brought up price.) However, I feel as though certain situations qualify for a polite discussion involving figures of such a nature. That being said, I still seriously contemplate pulling the trigger on these every day. And I know I will be disappointed come the day my size sells out.

just think of everything that must be involved from point zero to boot on your foot
there was at one point in time a water buffalo walking this earth and now that hide is on this boot
that's pretty fucking crazycotton is planted and eventually denim is woven by artisans on a vintage shuttle loom in japan
and that denim is married to water buffalo and calf hides and all sorts of other materials to make a booteach boot is made by an 80 year old family business in canada
the design is a collaborative effort between multiple peoples, each of whom has to earn a living
the materials must be carried over oceans from supplier to maker
and finished boots must be carried over oceans again to seller
and again (sometimes) to reach buyerit's really all pretty fucking insane
and all you gotta do is drop a little cash and shit is on your feet
price ain't all that bad once you think about it
jeans are really child's play when you compare to such an item -

I agree with what you're saying, though. They look awesome and the details only add to the intrigue and allure.

Well hello, Vibergs.
Mine arrived today. I must confess that I was really on the fence about buying these. The style is quite different from the type of boot that I normally wear, particularly the wedge style sole. That said…
1. the moment you take them out of the box: WOW. the quality is like nothing else
2. the details. just amazing
3. the comfort... have only walked around my apartment a bit with them and obviously they need some breaking in, but the sole is incredibly comfortable
4. the feeling you get when you wear them. you know they're something special.
I had wanted something I could put on everytime I go out without really thinking, knowing that they would go with a variety of styles and knowing they would be comfortable and durable for various conditions. They check every box.
A note on sizing: I went for 8.5 which seems right. I take 9.5 in running shoes (Nike/New Balance), 9 in most other shoes and 8.5 in pull-on boots. I would recommend sizing down for these.

babyknight, damn you! I knew this moment would arrive sooner than later. I really have been trying to avoid this thread all together. Saw that you posted and had a feeling. Anyhow, if/ when the Superblack versions come out, I may take the plunge. Enjoy them and I hope to see them walking around this Winter!
-
Thanks everyone, appreciate the kind words. Lando, I hope to see you wearing them this winter too!!

Is that Lando having taken the plunge?
Hahaha, no. Waiting on something Green in the mail right now but we will see…. That is Haraki-San holding a pair and sharing some close-ups with us via Bss Talk: http://shin3155.blog54.fc2.com/
