IH-888D - 17oz Duck Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Brown
-
Just ordered a pair of these. First ever pair of duck so really looking forward to receiving.
Brilliant assistance as ever from Bailey re sizing
-
@IrishHeart always a pleasure man! Let me know how you get on
-
@Bailey will do mate. Thanks again.
-
@denim-dawg Congrats on scoring a pair! Seeing that you got a size 35 for which I've also been looking, I checked Brund and saw they have a pair, only no shipping outside the EU. I guess I'll need to wait for a the next run of these.

What's the consensus on wearing these during summer? The only Ducks I have owned were Roy's original SEDUCK and I outgrew those a few years ago. They were only 10oz but were terrific, and that color? Many compliments. These 888s look perfect for me, I'm just a little hesitant on 17oz though...

@denim-dawg
Just went right ahead and answered your own question. Someone call 912 please, Duck.Hey Ducktor…
I suffer from a rare mallardy...

Haha these duck jokes are killing’!
@Cents-or-Non-Cents I find the 17oz duck to be one of my go-tos in the summer. Pretty much all but the days when it’s over 85F, and then I wouldn’t really wear long pants, anyway.
-
Rest assured, the 17oz is like a breathing cover, perfect for summer.
-
Ah, shame. I’m sure you’ll find your w35 Duck in duck time. Quack a good summer!

They're really breathable and comfortable in the summer. I'm wearing mine now. While it's only ~19 Celsius at the moment, I've also worn them in 30+C heat and they're cooler than my denim. Not being as dark either, they don't grab so much of the radiation heat from the sun.
-
Cool, thanks for all your help! Guess I'm in the waiting for the w35 gang...
-
They look fantastic @Mizmazzle

https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/753078 <<< ducks in all cuts on the way, so you should be able to nab yours in a 35 soon
-
Yup, experienced the same. Incredibly forgiving fabric in every sense. And if it has stains that don’t go out it somehow looks nice anyways haha.
-
@EdH fuck yes, this is awesome news. Been hoping for some 634s
-
@weftyarn it took me a couple years to realize, even though IH gear is pricey and it’s easy to want to baby it due to the price…really what that price is getting you is a garment that can take damn near anything you throw at it and come out even radder! It’s such a mind bender sometimes.

@EdH Thank you sir, somehow I missed that post but good news indeed!
