Paula and I went to the local registry office with 8 friends.  Alex was my best man.  Private room at our favourite curry house afterwards.  Zero stress…...

Definitely the way to do it right.

Although if we had done it that way, we would have missed out on watching my 14 year old nephew hit on a 30 year old lesbian that came with her girlfriend.
