16oz Slubby Denim

@AdamJ thanks!!

The more I see this denim, the more I want it…
But then, that's kinda the point of this thread isn't it?
-
Been preparing for this since I saw the confirmation come up that the denim was actually being made. I Love the fact that we'll have a "mid-weight" slub option backed by the Stubborn Crew. I enjoy my PBJ's and Oni's…the slub fades are much different from the old school "Cone Mills" type smooth faced denim that I wear mostly (including IH). But the uncomfortable fact is that they are all unsanforized and, after soaking, are a bit like wearing a wearing a cardboard rug for the first month or two. When I hear of super heavyweight slub denim it makes the hairs on my legs run and hide.
I'm interested to feel H's take on slub...could just be the innovation it needs.

Same. At first first I was like, "…only
16.515.4 ounces… pffftt" then the neato back pocket and the other pictures got me. -
I'm interested to see what cut this is and what that patch will look like. I'm hoping it is the forbidden cut that is not to be named here.

Yeah, I think indigo stitching would be ideal, show off all the slubby-ness.
-
- The extravagant use of dual-tone stitching
Live Large! Love it, very curious about the mystery cut too. -
Iron Heart and slub, I never thought I'd see the day!
Nor me…..It's part of the new "I will try and make things that people want, not just things that I like" policy from H....When he told me this, I placed my hand on his forehead and asked him if he was feeling OK....
Niicceee!!!!
For the avoidance of doubt. The 5 core cuts will not include any of the following:
- The patch (will not see the light of day on any garment)
- The placement of the "W"
- The shape of the pocket
- The extravagant use of dual-tone stitching
I wasn't feeling the pocket shape. Everything else i could work with.

I like the patch, but this doesn't bother me at all. I don't like the placement of the "W" or the Lee-esque pocket shape, so that's great. I didn't even notice the dual tone stitching until you mentioned it, so that's no big deal.
In other words, I'm still totally onboard for a pair…

Hoping for a high rise straight leg cut

Lovely stuff. I get the sinking feeling that come this autumn I’ll be in a quandary between these and the reborn UHR.
