IHM-35-BLK - Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Black
-
You will love it. You’ve made a great choice. I hope the fit works for you.
I own a medium khaki version but it’s a little bit snug so I bought a large last year… but that was too big/loose.
So I almost resigned myself to never finding one that is 100% right.
But, thankfully, the large version of this black one has the perfect measurements and fits just right. It’s great over just a t-shirt but also works well over a sweatshirt or UHF.
Also, it looks the real deal. I was slightly worried that the black would be too stark (can’t think of the right word) but it’s just right. The style of this jacket is right up my street.
£622 sounds a lot, but I’ve wasted more than that trying to find the right jacket. Now I can stop wasting money and just enjoy this beast of a jacket.

Amen dude, and hey it’s not about the gross cost it’s about value - and IH represents great value for me

Look forward to seeing some killer pics @LewisStonehouse , which will help me decide whether or not to drown my sorrows of not getting an N1 deck vest by picking up a khaki N1 jacket
How'd you end up sizing compared to your normal shirt sizing? -

How'd you end up sizing compared to your normal shirt sizing?I went with a XL in this jacket which is the same size I wear in IH westerns. I’m 6’1 185lbs.

@LewisStonehouse I’m sure you will love it. My first IH purchase was an indigo N1
and I love it. Hoping it lasts for ever as it was bought with a tax refund from my mum’s estate and is a nod to
my grandad who was a master mariner. -
@ARNC Lovely story Andrew and no doubt your Grandad would very much approve. I’m sure if anything (and especially being indigo dyed) yours will improve with age.
@Joberwocky Jason mate you know you want both. I thought I wanted the khaki but when I had a think about versatility, it had to be black. I’ll be honest, I didn’t do any measuring, just went with the XL. Hoping it works out a treat. I did refrain from GA pimping in case the sizing isn’t right, but may revisit that.
-
@LewisStonehouse that's your typical UHF size, right?
And I DO want both, but I also don't want to start writing my paychecks direct deposit to IHUK
-
Yeah man typical for every top pretty much.
Ha! I feel ya man, gonna be very warm in my new jacket, but also potentially very hungry in a few weeks
-
This thing is the definition of luxury
-
I said you would like it! Hope it still fits after all that not eating coming up
It's so, so good. Worth a couple of weeks on the pot noodle diet for sure
-
@LewisStonehouse looks GREAT man, fit appears to be spot on! Jealous friend, jealous….
I take it your pleased with the length and layer-ability (technical term)? Looks right to me

Thanks you dude. Yeah super pleased with the fit, works with a hoody or UHF underneath or with just a tee. Absolutely top tier bit of kit
-
@jerkules cheers dude, you won’t regret it. It took me a while to be able to afford one but I can tell I’m going to get a lot of value out of it
-
I wore mine with just a t-shirt in 2 centigrade weather yesterday… it was so snug, especially with the collar up.
I don’t think I’ll need a shirt or sweater all winter
-
Superb fit
