IH-728-IND - 14oz Selvedge Denim Work Pants - Indigo

Cheers @endo ! They would look glorious with your ensembles as well my friend
I will say - mobility is top notch in these if you go TTS. I swear the flat seam outseam and inseam do something to create a very fluid pattern - and the side pockets make sitting so comfy.

I must admit the cogs have been turning, with 15% off this weekend, payday and a drinking session scheduled who knowsss what might turn up in the post
the stars sure are aligning for you on these!

YES @Cutlasshound !! I fully expect a fit pic with These, some WTAPS Vans, and your Fishtail parka very, very soon…

Finally picked mine up today - great pants. Putting them on for the first time after a full day of barbeque, beer and pizza was at challenge, but apart from the tight fit in the waist (which will be fine after stretch and a more balanced diet) they are truly comfortable - without looking shapeless. I agree with Appfaffs comments, but will add one other observation:
The pockets are looser than what I am used to. That means I can get my hands into them while sitting down - unthinkable in my 777s and a nice feature - but it makes the pockets “fold” in a somewhat peculiar manner when sitting. Doesn’t bother me, but some might be annoyed by it.
-
@TeflonDon - great observation! The pocket entrys are going to be rather stiff at first due to the fold and double row of stitching. If will relax over time - something I have experiences with on nearly all my heavier weight officer chinos with similar pocket openings.

I'm stoked to hear you are loving the 14oz denim @TeflonDon ! It's one of the toughest denims on the market bar-none. perfect for a work pant like these for sure!

Mine arrived Saturday, what a great pair of jeans, fit and fabric are dreamy.
Going to send back to the stubborn crew for a hem but going to bash them around for a week or so first.
Well done Adam @Appfaff for throwing down the gauntlet.

@bryaneidins - dude, you aced that fit brother! Looks bomb with the cuffs and Vans!

I hope these do brilliantly. (I'm going to have to wait a month…finances, arghh.) And then I hope they also turn up in the new slubby down the line. These are great.

Is the cinch functional for say .5” in either direction?
-
You could probably do 4", but it would look bloody messy.
Same as any of the other 14oz jeans, so about an inch.

Hey Bud, .5" is easily doable. The cinch sits flush brand new, and the waist will stretch about 1" or so, with the hips relatively the same % of initial measure. The cinch can be used to essentially "take out" the stretch after it happens, or you can size slightly baggy and cinch harder for a more repro style fit. I have my cinch let out to standard trim, but once the seat stretches a bit, I plan to give it about a 1/4-1/2" cinch to get that "heritage pleated" look along the yoke that a lot of cool WW2 trousers get with the cinch.
Hope that helps!
