IHSH-21-BLU - 10oz Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt - Blue
-
The measurements you posted seem to differ between 0.5 and 1cm from those posted on the Japanese site: http://www.ironheart.jp/products/IHSH-21.html
Are these numbers an estimate until the shirts arrive and can actually be measured?
-
I have not got hold of them myself yet, but the sizes I posted were given to me by Haraki at the week end. But to be honest, as with all IH kit, each garment is made with minimal automation, and those damn humans just don't get every shirt exactly the same, so I would always take the measurements as a close approximation. That applies to the jeans and jackets too.
Haraki actually puts a rider to this effect on his sizing tables, to date I have not felt that necessary - perhaps I ought too. G

I think this might end up being my favorite item of the season once it comes out. I am so excited to finally see it in person! I just hope it does not fit the same as the SExIH Dark Rider Flannel (Yes I know it is a Workshirt)… Below is the latest entry on Boss Talk. I had to post it up here as it is only deepening my desire for it, and I'm sure yours as well. Enjoy!
Boss Talk (Translation)
The character which is not the inside and outside
"It is the good child the heavy chambray work shirt where release is decided in March there is no inside and outside.
Society, as for apparent however it is good, when it turns to the reverse side, deep-black… the [tsu] [te] person is many, is.
It is good child where so as for this child of IRON HEART, considered as the chart and trying returning on the reverse side, fact of the matter was thorough very.""The [ho] and others how is?

Seeing there is a transparent small button which is not accustomed, don't you think? well -, this probably is what?
The sewing you attach this to grain side on the reverse side of the button which you stop, it is something which is called “the peony from the [chi]”.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on it too. I have loads of XL coming in but het. I might just have divert then to my wardrobe….
The great thing is, is that the ONLY reason that this shirt got made is that you guys asked Haraki to make a work shirt...
Next will be the short sleeved shirt, again only happening because you asked for it...G

@tfar:
Wedding? Jeans tux?
Till
till, i wish. but we did find a wool fabric that looked a little like denim….
now, if only haraki-san can make me an iron heart chambray dress shirt and maybe even an indigo denim tie to go with it
i'm pretty excited though, my vest is rider inspired
-
Wow Pete, really excited for you. Congrats again! Can't wait to see the final product and appreciate you sharing with us.
-
yeah, looks really dope! thats about to be a crazy ass tux, but crazy in a good way!

That is a very nice fabric. It's a wool gabardine in a 2:1 weave, if I can tell correctly. The 2:1 weave is similar to what you get in jeans and is the reason that you see diagonal ribs. It means 2 over and 1 under, like a step pattern. It's usually not used for formal wear and has a slight military character. It's also very sturdy. So if you don't put satin lapels on it, you will be able to wear that suit as a great black suit on other occasions, too.
Same for Chambray. Usually not formal wear. I might look for a normal white cotton batiste. Also remember that if you have a three piece suit and a rather heavy shirt, things might get hot, especially when dancing. So a lighter shirt would be good. The indigo denim tie though would be killer. You could then use an indigo chambray with a slight sheen as a breast pocket handkerchief (pochette).

This is our new heavy chambray shirt.
This guy's personality is "two-faced" in good way. It's face…
…and this is inside. It's beautifully sewn if you see both from inside and outside.
You can see clear button on neck band, can't you? This is reinforced button. You don't usually see that on casual shirts, but I use it for extra durability.
3/16 inch wide triple stitch and selvedge gusset for durablity! I personally like the width of the triple stitch and it is rare technique… -
Looking very nice Haraki-san
-
I of course will be purchasing this garment!!! Thanks for all the hard/ innovative work!
-
Any ideas on price G?

Nice shirt. Understatement I know, but after looking at all the western shirts for so long and honestly hating them, I'm pretty psyched there is a heavy work shirt being done. Nice to see some variety in styles not just fabrics.
Now where is the workshirt done in heavy denim
