IHSH-316-YEL - 9oz Selvedge Ombré Check Western Shirt - Yellow
-
Damn. Kirk and Paul Rudd looking dope in this one.
Just saw this @Matt
If only I could claim to be the ageless wonder that is Paul Rudd.
On another note, 9oz flannel is stupendous, and everyone in here is looking slick. The difference between this and a UHF has me calculating how awesome the Viyella check shirts must be and if I need to kill my SS22 budget on a couple shirts haha -
Maybe someone gains/drops some weight down the line and you pick it up on the marketplace. That's my hope for the blue 9oz

got mine today, MOP snaps..

I want to start off by saying…as a new to IH person. This shirt is BEAUTIFUL. I love it.
I have a question though. In the last photo I pictured me standing up straight with proper posture and the buttons seem like they're barely holding on for dear life. Before anyone suggests to size up or get the workshirt. The sleeves are already too long and the shoulders are already too wide.. also, I hate workshirts. I like form fitting clothing and the style of the western. I have another 33od in western that looks similar to this in the chest. My question is, is possible that iron heart shirts just aren't cut for guys with big, barrel chests like me? Thanks for your time.

Great shirt.
Yeah, you have some button pull. As you point out, the westerns are slim and taper from the pits quite sharply to the waist, so guys with robust upper builds will stretch them somewhere. Your choices are to learn to live with it, wear it open, or wear it without an undershirt. You could also try a thin tank top as an undershirt.
You’re negatively disposed to work shirts, but they will likely fit your body type better, in myriad ways.
On a more positive note, the arms and shoulders look great to me. And a bit of button pull isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Thanks I will try that. Yeah after I posted this, I thought I should weight myself and I'm 10lbs heavier then I normally walk around ( holiday weight must be a thing now that I'm starting the back end of my 30's )
So I'm going to start there. Also, not that I like the look of the pull, if it doesn't end the life of the shirt early then I can live it. The shirt is so damn beautiful, seriously the color and stitching is just on another level. Sorry, I'm in a honeymoon phase with iron heart and I just find myself swooning.
Thanks Neph, you made me feel better

I didn’t get into the work shirts until a few years ago. I was def a western guy. Now I really love them. They def fit better.
Yeah, mayyyyyyyybe I'll try one at some point. I can always try them on at my local store a few times and see if they grow on me

Man I found this shirt randomly today and now I’m obsessed with finding one

@hippieflipflops Best bet is to put a WTB ad in the marketplace.
