@Jcaz6996
Hey James ,
so far I felt no need for washing my pair. But now after the first really warm week with lots of sweat I think
they need a first wash soon ::)
what would you recommend for the first wash ?
inside out a must ?
cold or warm ? -
It indeed was warm the last couple of days and I still managed to wear my XHSiB at every opportunity. I remember @Lowlander saying in one of his post that in Summer the XHS family is like a sweat pant and it indeed is very undeniably true. It feels heaven taking them off after a few minutes of wear.

Hi mate I prefer to wash in the bath tub hot water roughly around 40c put a couple of scoops of Samurai soap in there swirl it all around and submerge jeans i don’t turn them inside out don’t leave for 30mins with agitation.
fill back up with hot water and put back in for another 30mins
Drip dry on washing line , keep a eye on because I put them on damp and wear around the house set the creases back in , when they look set take them off and put back on the line to dry.Everyone has different ways washing machine etc this is the way I prefer mate

@Jcaz6996
does the Kaminati Samurai soap has a certain smell ? or odor ?
we have no bath tub ::) only a shower. -
Sorry to hear that Rueben–-sh*t happens as they say.
Hope you are doing well though and look forward to your return.
The possibility of a "Lord of Flies" situation looms large without your admin skills
these guys are animals -
Hey competitors,
it’s time again for the monthly submission! -
next month done, no wash no soak yet
-
Thx James,
the 18oz vintage is a fantastic denim, not the fastest fader but very beautiful.
Wait as long as possible before first wash. The last days were sweating , but it will be a bit colder next days.
Since I wear IH stuff , I hate summer -
Wow great work. Impressively fast.
-
Cheers @Nkwkfld having a physical job helps we don’t stop all day .
Reason I entered last year the amount of time I’m out of the house and being on site erecting timber frame houses tough job a great job to beat a pair of jeans up.Y2 was more concerned about keeping them clean to wear them 365/365 so first couple of months last year going through the winter wore waterproof bottoms over the top when it was wet and rainy on site .
This year starting in April haven’t bothered apart from the odd rainy day.
These are definitely fading quicker compared to my XHSIB I wore last year maybe that initial soak is key . -
wow James , they look awsome !
next pair for the Hall of Fades -
80ish days. 3 washes.
-
Your pair look great you thinking of wearing them every day until the end ?
Ahh sorry for the late reply. Definitely haven’t worn them every day since the start of the comp. First month barely wore them bc of fit issues and sending them out for alterations. But they’ve been almost daily wear since their return from Indigo Proof considering I only use them for work.

3 month update. 3 washes. It’s been a month of nonstop demo, drywall, & solid surface fab & install for kitchens and bathroom renos .
