Indigo Invitational Y3

@Salted-Racer I might be in the minority, but I always felt that the vibe of the Iron Heart Forum is totally non-competitive,and that everyone’s jeans fade differently. While I definitely enjoy observing the contest, and totally root for any Forum members competing, not sure the Forum is a place for a fading contest.
-
@Jett129 I do totally agree with that stance. The competition side of Y3 and RR keeps me away from those. If something were to happen on the forum I might advocate for more of a 'challenge' than a 'competition'. I'll admit my IH rotation is pretty deep and I know I'd be cool with a fun and positive challenge to wear the same pair of jeans for a year with some encouragement from fellow participants. No judges, no prizes. Just a thought whether that's something people would even want is another thing of course.
-
If you love your rotation, I wouldn’t call it “fun and positive” to wear the same pair for a long time. It’s more like “sad and hard,” but it’s interesting to see what discipline can help you accomplish, and how perspective can change.

The People's Champs
We've got six more spot prizes to give away, and we want to use this opportunity to recognize the six exceptional faders who made the Top 10 in the popular vote but who didn't end up making it into the winner's circle. All of these pairs (and the faders who produced them) deserve special recognition.( I was Ranked 4th with the people’s vote but wasn’t a favourite with the judges to make the Top 10
But got recognised by the founder Bryan. )Next up is James Casburn, who might be England's best fader. His work on heavy Iron Heart pairs makes it clear why so many top faders reach for IH pairs. We're thanking him with the second bottle opener from Alex.
Love anything hand crafted much appreciated

I thought the girls jeans were amazing and @Jcaz6996 I prefer yours over the winners maybe we just know what looks right. We could always do our own little ting.
-
️ I think @Megatron1505 use to help run it maybe ask him.
-
Or just buy an item and wear it everyday for how ever long you can bear it just to see what happens to the denim that’s all I’m doing with my storm rider jacket. My kids hate it and keep saying when are you going to wear something different.I couldn’t give a fuck I’ve slept in this thing it gives me hugs
(I’m single now) and just enjoy the journey . I feel guilty when I wash it that I haven’t worn it for a few days but I not comparing it to anything just wearing because I want to and for the fades and love that I get from seeing them. -
Anyone thinking of registering Y4 with their Y2/Y3 denim for the Re(Pair) comp?
-
Lol totally understandable.
Prob not joining the repair comp as I plan to continue wearing my pair throughout the summer.
A forum comp would be pretty cool tho.

@Jcaz6996
cool piece !
But you definitely deserved more

Cheers Guys
Funny that the judges went for jeans with visible signs of wear and tear instead of fades. Mad got picked 4th with the public vote but never made it to the top 10 . That’s what I was missing crotch blowouts , and visible repairs my small holes here and there didn’t cut it ..
Come to think of it I stopped wearing them to work because they were getting battered.. -
@Jcaz6996 I think the contests and competitions definitely have a place in this niche of the community, but I wear my jeans for me and they represent who I am. Overall they tell my story of adventures, travels, successes, and failures.
I don’t want them to look like anyone else’s nor care if they look better than someone’s else’s. Mine are a representation of the life I live and my enjoyment comes from that.
