Mental Policies

sure there are more, but saving the true extent for another day
-
Like how you place trash on top of the bin, rather than in it
-
After reading these I feel normal here.
Me too… That's saying quite a lot...
I would, however, pay good money to see Lucifer come charging out of a bus
Haha, if you ever tried to take a bus in Norway you'd understand

where the rest of you looney tunes at?
maybe i shouldn't call you looney tunes if i want you to contribute???
brings up another mental policy, leave all my crappy posts for history to judge. sometimes i want to delete, but i just can't

I get really, shall we say, particular about the laundry. My shirts have to be folded like they are in stores, you know, with the center section showing and the sleeves tucked in underneath. Boxers get folded into thirds lengthwise, then in half horizontally, so they form a nice, even square. Buttondowns get hung according to color, same with slacks and suits. Darks are on the left, then progressively lighter going toward the right side. Dress shirts on the left, then casual buttondowns, then slacks, then suits on the right side of the closet.
When I get dressed, I always put on the right sock, then the left, then the right shoe, then the left.
I shave my face from right to left (only with an electric razor). I shave my head in sections: top, then right side, then left side, then back (in the shower, only with a blade).I'm sure there's more weirdness, but I'll stop here.

er, hi bagley920, HahEhHahahahE
oh & shoes outside of their boxes. there are shoe boxes for a reason
what about when on your feet.
-
ahh…MM, more similarities, I always also try to sit so that nobody gets behind my back without me noticing, ie, back against wall. And in a bus or another public transport, always last row of seats if possible, on the right side.
When I go to a bar or so, I always také a look around people who are there, to spot possible troublemakers and I note where and how they sit. So I will know where the trouble is likely to come.
This once led me to rescue a drunken idiot, a whale for a woman from drowning herself at local lakeside. She really tried to drown herself, afterwards I thought that I should have let her do it.i drink with a retired RUC mate who always sits with his back to a wall where he can see the door. even in my house.

Not too sure why this thread remains untouched as of late? Seems like there is a lot of content (Sup Monday, finn, thomasnunnally, etc? ) that would be applicable to this thread…

i button down almost all my collars with mini safety pins before i wear them. i hate when my collar is up & flying around. . . i also hate it on other people & find myself fight the urge to comment on it & put down their collars

Anyone else seeing some patterns here? It is fascinating how many of these "mental policies" many of us seem to share. I'll just say I have far more of these in common than not.

That's cause we all crazy…

@Sugar:
The only rule I really stick to is to pass on the outside of the pavement when it's a woman or elderly person coming the other way. My mum taught me this when I was a kid and I still do it.
should be manners but it fits here as well, also i do the same & tend to have a hard time walking with any female unless i am on the outside of her "protecting" her from the riff raff & hoi polloi on the street. told you i'm a chauvinist

Seriously Monday, I can find no way that such behavior makes you a chauvinist.
But, maybe I am just old fashioned.
-
nope it's chauvinism, my belief that i can "protect" the fairer sex from danger real or imagined is bull$h!t. i'm pretty sure if i were walking with blackheart & was attacked she would probably be able to defend herself & me for that matter it's chauvinism cause it's based in that little nook i call a brain that i am superior to all women physically & able to protect.
it's bull$h!t, see i even called women the "fairer sex"

Diarrhea of the keyboard.

Better than Diarrhoea on the keyboard, no?

@Sugar:

Yes that is true. Doesn't make the Diarrhea I have to read any better though.
