IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Perfect as a pic can get!

I have a question for Giles and the 21oz expert crew. Im running on 5 months of my 634s' and just had my first real wash outside of 2 hot soaks when new. Question is, after my wash my jeans return to a fairly stiff state, what can I do to avoid this at my next wash? Im just turning them inside out with a touch of delicate woolite and hanging dry. Im not one to baby jeans, just trying to keep them as soft as possible.
Thanks for any advice, and apologies if this is the wrong forum.

I've not washed mine ever but they were soft when I received them.

Beat the snot out of em, they will be soft soon enough!

They get harder after a wash, for about 2-3 wears, then go back to uber soft. It's just like they want to remind you who's really boss. Well that's how I interpret it anyhow.

Understood; my point is on the "remind"; mine were supple, pliant, and soft from the jump. I'll be interested if a new stuff characteristic emerges post wash.

I got you, I was trying to be a little silly, but truthful at the same time. Mine felt as soft as a baby's bottom the day I got them, but still go all hard ass if washed 1.5 years later.

Gotcha. I'm happy to know this.
