IHSH-332-SAX - Ultra Heavy Flannel Anniversary Check Western Shirt - Sax
-
@alexdefaro Looks great and very nice haul!

Hey all - I have a question. Is my Sax too tight in the chest or does it fit spot on? It has a little pull in the chest but that happens to me sometimes in IH shirts. If I size up, sometimes they are too big.
Thoughts?

@Goosetown In my opinion no, don't size up. The entire shirt looks good, and I too occasionally have the pull in the same spot. It's minor…
The only thing I suggest is to be careful when washing.

Great, thanks Goosehd. Any tips on washing (i.e., cold, delicate, and hang dry)?
-
@Goosetown I wash all of my flannels either by hand, or washing machine, cold - (no or low spin), and hang to dry (actually lay flat on a drying rack).
Hope it helps.

This shirt is already over dyed. Look back through this thread for shrinkage details.

Fit looks great. Don’t size up or all the other dimensions will be off.

First impressions are good. It's only my second UHF and I'm amazed how softer it feels from the other I have (IHSH299-PUR). Saying that it is my second western. I think I'm smack bang in between a L and XL in Westerns as both this and my other western (Serge) ever so slightly cut into my armpits. For me though sizing up isn't an option as the sleeve lengths are a tad long for me already. It's a fine balance. But L is the one.
Overall though, this fabric feels incredible. I love worn in fabrics and that super soft feel of a very old heavy fabric and this looks and feels like one already if that makes sense. It's going to be my go-to in winter.

@Goosetown Fit looks really good. Keep it!

@Goosetown I'd probably size up personally. The ultimate test imo is to sit down for a little bit and see if you get uncomfortable. If you're taking a fit pic you're probably not standing in a natural position so it may fit better/worse than it would if you were more natural

My best fitting button up has a sleeve length of around 26.25”.
The 2XL in this flannel would fit me great in the chest and shoulders, but it’s the sleeve length I’m worried about. It’s around 28”.
Should I just go for it and hope for some shrinkage with washes and wears?
