IHSH-332-SAX - Ultra Heavy Flannel Anniversary Check Western Shirt - Sax

Great, thanks Goosehd. Any tips on washing (i.e., cold, delicate, and hang dry)?
This shirt is already over dyed. Look back through this thread for shrinkage details.

Fit looks great. Don’t size up or all the other dimensions will be off.

First impressions are good. It's only my second UHF and I'm amazed how softer it feels from the other I have (IHSH299-PUR). Saying that it is my second western. I think I'm smack bang in between a L and XL in Westerns as both this and my other western (Serge) ever so slightly cut into my armpits. For me though sizing up isn't an option as the sleeve lengths are a tad long for me already. It's a fine balance. But L is the one.
Overall though, this fabric feels incredible. I love worn in fabrics and that super soft feel of a very old heavy fabric and this looks and feels like one already if that makes sense. It's going to be my go-to in winter.

@Goosetown Fit looks really good. Keep it!

@Goosetown I'd probably size up personally. The ultimate test imo is to sit down for a little bit and see if you get uncomfortable. If you're taking a fit pic you're probably not standing in a natural position so it may fit better/worse than it would if you were more natural

My best fitting button up has a sleeve length of around 26.25”.
The 2XL in this flannel would fit me great in the chest and shoulders, but it’s the sleeve length I’m worried about. It’s around 28”.
Should I just go for it and hope for some shrinkage with washes and wears?

@Goosetown Im with Schraiber on this one too….I think you should size up one. The length looks short to me on the smaller size .....especially at the sides...along with the chest being a bit tight. As long as you can live with longer sleeves I say size up. Fit is subjective of course....but just my two cents.

@Goosetown I'll give my 2 cents as well - I'd try to size up as well. The pull on the two chest buttons is too much, just look at the distortions of the lines in the fabric. And that is where it'll stay uncomfortable. Yes, there is a chance that the arms will be slightly too long sizing up, so that will also be a factor to consider.
Look at the pictures from @alexdefaro in the posting right above yours - his chest buttons only create a light pull, and for me everything more than that would be too much.
