IH-666S-UHR - 21/23oz Ultra Heavy Raw Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans
-
^ Please post your pre and post soak / wash measurements. I'm on the fence if I should go Tag size 30 or Tag size 31.
-
Wow. This denim is no joke. Slightly worried, but in the best possible way. Honestly more gnarly than I was expecting; seems to be about 21:XHS::XHS:UHR.
Soak done and in the washer right now. Drip dry overnight.
Had another pair that needed a soak so the UHR has company.
Hopefully will have some dimension comparisons tomorrow.

Thanks, Kasi.
They actually seemed to mellow a good bit with the soak and wash. Much less intimidating now.
After a 1hr hot tap water soak followed by a front loader wash on the "hot" setting with low spin and a drip/air dry.
Pre / postW: 17.6 / 17.2
T: 12.75 / 12.5
Fr: 11.0 / 10.6
Rr: 15.5 / 15.25
K: 9.0 / 8.75
H: 8.5 / 8.4
I: 36.3 / 35.5I'm honestly a little worried they didn't shrink enough. Should I do anything more before hemming tomorrow?

Who knows?
If you read this:

You will understand that supply is very limited. We have committed to producing it continuously, but that does not mean we can make a lot. So supply is self-limited, thus availability at any point in time is totally dependent upon demand…..

@pechelman looks about right. Almost an inch in length and waist, and quarter of an inch in the thigh. There may be a little more but it will be marginal.

Thanks for the sanity check, neph. I saw some other folks getting 2" on the inseam to shrink. In the end I decided to wait on hemming today. Maybe will leave these to cuff as my only pair.

Finally placed the order for a pair of these and ended up going one size up from my usual 33. Thanks to everyone for their pre/post measurements because it really helped with sizing. And thanks to Bailey for working with me on finding the right pair! Now just gotta wait for some hemming and for the brown truck people to do their thing.

…in the 'raw' game. :o Soak, wash and measure this weekend.
...loyal XHS'er but I resigned myself to a UHR after reading the back story on the production of this material, looks and feels just as hardcore as the XHS denim.
...whether tag size 35 or 36 I'm always looking for a minimum 36.5 waist measurement and with this pair I asked the crew to go with tag 35 and look for the largest waist measurement which was 36.9. The 666 cut is a hugger in the top block and I wanted them to be comfortable right out of the gate...and they are.

…one hour hot soak, gentle machine wash warm and overnight hang dry. My first non-XHS.

@vaquero357 spot on fit man. I hope mine look that good after the soak&wash. Unfortunately I have to wait for the right time to slide these into the rotation with as little fanfare as possible…and I think most of us can relate to this predicament.
-
@vaquero357 great man! And I like the boots a lot. What are these?
-
That’s a perfect fit, @vaquero357 Wear them well!
