@pechelman Great pictures, I like them all.
-
Thanks y'all! It was a great trip.
I'm still looking forward to @alexxedge 's pictures from Japan tho. Hint hint nudge nudge

@pechelman beautiful stuff!!

@alexxedge
Very inspiring Alex! I also go to Japan in two weeks and was considering to use my analog M6 TTL, but I hate the trouble at the airport with my film rolls and the discussions about hand checking the film. Did you have any problems at the Tokyo airport with your film rolls?I shoot a lot of my portraits with film and it really so much fun. This portrait from Jade was taken with a Leica M6 TTL and on vintage 1.4/50 Summilux

@pechelman those imaged are so good! Work has been stupid busy. I’ll make a post soon. I got the goods. Haha
-
@Marc2706 now thats a portrait! I love this. I will say, I’m lucky in my city that my airport is super cool about hand checks for film. Haneda in Tokyo, was so prepared. They spotted not “do not X-ray - film” bag before I made it to the trays and were ready for me. Don’t let it deter you.

Here’s some of my favorites so far, that are on phone! All shot on my M5 with various film stocks including: Cinestill 400D, Fuji Xtra 400, Lomo 800, Kodak Gold 200

Nice!
Did you ever sleep @alexxedge ?
Getting those places shot without people is no small feat! -
@pechelman only a few sunrise walks. I am obsessed with busy spaces that should be filled with people. It’s been a long working project since 2020 (for obvious reasons). I really had to step out of that comfort zone a few times in Japan and just embrace the people. I love moments that you know people have been there, but for some reason they aren’t in that moment. Some shots were just the instant of that click, then the scene was flooded with people.
-
@alexxedge Thanks a lot Alex! This is what I wanted to hear! I will go there with film!
-
@alexxedge I love these photos so much.
-
@alexxedge Really wonderful photos ! Especially the night shots are very good!

@alexxedge The night shots are the best ones!

Thinking of stepping up my camera game. I used to do a lot of shooting, but bringing my real camera with me these days is more of a chore. I have a Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.4, and also a 24-70mm. I've been using my iPhone a lot to take pics, but miss having a dedicated camera.
Size and portability are a big selling point for me, should I step to a Fujifilm X100V? There seem to be quite a few on the used market since people are picking up the X100VI's.

Unfortunately right now the price of the X100’s are still pretty inflated. I’d recommend looking into something like an XT30ii. Great camera, compact size, exchangeable lenses. I have one paired with the Fuji 27mm pancake lens and it’s wonderful. Still have all the use of recipes and whatnot too.
