Just picked up a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens. Should be here some time next week!
Cool/fun Lens….I had/sold it twice, I want a 1.4.
One of the first shots I snapped with a 50mm when I had my Canon Xti.........

A compact I wanna buy is the Sigma DP2…. Stunning image quality, APS-C sensor, tack sharp, but not very user friendly menus and not much automation either. Consensus is, you should be familiar with f-stops and exposure when buying this. But it is an interesting option, on german Ebay these can be had for about 250 Euros, if you are willing to go for an older non-S or non-X model.
You won't find many favorable reviews, because it's lacks in many departments that other compacts excel in. It's a love it or hate it camera, it seems:

Probably not the best for you. D97x7, but maybe you got a thing for quirky cameras.

Ha, thank you sir. I will email you a high-res version - any preference on what format?
Trying my best to see if early Sept for the UK will work…...

Great picture there babyknight! Whats your setup?

thanks, laxlife.
I used a Canon 7D with the Canon EF-S 17-55m lens, shooting in RAW. Av priority and aperture at f/6.3 with a slight overexposure setting. The picture was taken in the evening when the light tends to work a bit better for landscape shots. Had to do some work on the highlights in post-processing to get the clouds to stand out.

Ah, yeah raw gives better access to more light. I think the image looks great though it seems to resemble an HDR photo, but it also doesn't at the same time.
That lens seems to take some good landscape shots though! Looking forward to more pictures!

can someone help me out on a wireless remote for shooting!I want to get me one but cuz there's way too many on the market,it would be nice if someone could name a few good and not too expensive ones!

I like manfrotto tripods and ballheads

If you can find one, get a Benro carbon fiber tripod + ball head. It's a Chinese company that makes cheap knock-offs of CF and Arca-Swiss compatible quick release ball heads. They're not the most durable (crap glue was my biggest complaint), but they used to cost about 1/4 - 1/3 what Gitzo or any other name brand costs. I think one of the big stores like B&H picked them up, so maybe the price went up. I bought mine 4-5 years ago (and still use it).

Looks like the price went way up.. I think mine cost 1/2 that on ebay straight from China. Definitely not worth 440 even for CF given the quality I've seen.

^HOLY SHIT! YOU HAVE A 24-70? That is the lens I think I am going to wind up getting! How do you like it? What don't you like about it? Any buyers remorse? Sorry for all the questions.
Also, how is it? Like is it good, image quality wise?
