Lol! That version of you would fit right in in New Orleans. Laissez les bons temps rouler, my man.

@JoshC LOL! I would ask if that was a costume party but no one else is dressed up.
I cant talk though, I rocked a terrible goatee at one point.

Stumbled on this conversation and realised it intersects with another interest. The soup issue is not new and there is an answer:

@Tago-Mago same man. We had an amazing time but that’s to be expected with this group. As long as IH keeps throwing parties we’ll be there.
As far as my shaving routine currently it’s super basic now. I don’t baby my face whatsoever. I had a stainless steel ejection blade single edge razor but I wasn’t happy with the closeness of the shave compared to a simple Gillette 3/4/5 blade from the grocery store. I use a hemp oil Nivea for men shaving lotion that I like and the aforementioned aftershave. I shave about every 2-3 days and do it right out of a hot shower.

Not Matt but re shaving, use good shaving soaps like speick or tabac, use a shaving brush to build lather (Simpsons makes good ones), and pickup something like a merkur double edged safety razor. Personally I like the slant head more than the 34hd people always recommend and polsilver blades but ymwv. Rinse face liberally with hot water and then with ice cold. Then finish with a light aftershave or toner such as the alcohol free Thayer's witch hazel with aloe or the loccitane cade if they still make it. Ill use a balm if needed but usually don't. Find anything with lots of shea if you want one like from pre de provence or again loccitane.
I just don't have time to maintain my straight razors anymore but did enjoy them.
