Redline Rally Y2

those two examples are many years old , you can see those folding creases if you look closely.
it’s not bad , and does not bother me much. but if possible I want to avoid@Daniel San you’ve got me concerned about about my Lefty now I’ve noticed I’ve got the same fold creases in both sleeves hasn’t come out with the Hot 1hr soak so tried to iron them out without success denim is so thick.
Do you think they will go with wear and time as the jacket breaks in ?
Or think that crease will become a fade similar to yours ?
How did yours appear? Cheers mate -
@Jcaz6996
hey James , that’s a really difficult question.
but I would try everything to get rid of them. Pretty sure you will get those lines too when you leave them.
it seems to be a issue with the thicker denim , the creases in my 16slb od were completely gone after a wash.
I once had a pair of jeans , can’t remember how many oz they had
the creases returned after every wash unbelievable. I ironed them again and again, but creases returned.
Think the thicker denim has a kind of brain and remembershere is a picture of my 777xhs from today , hey had the initial soak and wash. But did not iron the folding creases. will do it next days for sure .

Hi Daniel hope you’re all good mate,I’ve not noticed it before on any of my IH clothes apart for my 19L , did you ever fold your jacket and store it ?
Mine is always on a hanger never folded. I’ll take another look tomorrow and try and iron them out again.
I can’t see any visible line while wearing it .
I’ll take some pictures tomorrow 6 days wear no real visible signs of fades yet don’t go back to work until the 16th as our job got pushed back so I have some catching up to do..
So far really love this Type lll
Yours is looking great how long you looking to wear it ? Until it’s too warm
I’m hoping to get through to May/June -
Personally, I do not think it is the folding creases from packing/shipping causing the issue It is more likely to be where the article has been placed into the washing machine drum and gets a sharp crease. This can be avoided by soaking before you wash and making sure that the fabric is as malleable as possible before stuffing it into the washing machine.

@Giles
never fold jeans or jackets, they are all on hangers. made some "special" hangers for jeans.
one of the first things I learned here was to soak before putting in the washing machine . Had some issues with my first purchase from IH ( 33od) and someone advised me to soak before. Can’t remember who it was , but since then all get soaked before.
And wash all Jackets and jeans alone, no other clothes in the machine.
so in the end for me it’s still a miracle what causes those creases/lines , but as I said I don’t care that much.
I try my best to iron them , and hope for success. -
@Daniel San I agree with Giles, that looks like washing machine caused lines, like I got on my new 634S-A from not soaking them
-
oh my god, Alex you ruined them
-
who needs spotlights?
it’s a storage room with old stuff, only place where I can hang my jeans properly. -
We’ve only got a small walk-in wardrobe got denim draping off most things
A few years back I made two Oak hangers for jeans there on top of my wardrobe when I get home I’ll take a picture of them if you want one @Daniel San ill send you one
-
awesome mate !
-
I assume this denim storage facility is temperature and humidity controlled? Have you played with atmospheric pressure for optimized fades at all?
-
Better late then never!
