IRON HEART WAYWT - 2023 EDITION

@RoxRocks86 that’s a wild-ass lookin’ knife!
-
@RoxRocks86, no experience with those shoes but plenty with cold feet and skiing. Unsure if it will help you, but I finally learned after many seasons of thick socks that they ended up trapping and retaining more moisture and resulted in cold feet. I know it's semi against the rules in tight fitting ski boots, but I found the thinnest silk liner sock I could find and wore those under the thinnest darn tough ski sock they made. After that, no more problems. On warmer days I'd just wear the silk liners. Dry feet were the key. Some people even go so far as buying spray antiperspirant for their feet before putting on socks. Ymmv!
Lastly, korvid knife?

Confente Bicycle
With period appropriate group and tubulars.
Tell us more!
What a classic beauty.Confente is the Iron heart of bikes
"In the world of vintage bicycles, there’s beautifully crafted, and there’s rare, and then there’s Confente. A name lesser known in the general cycling community but one that elicits a special reverence from collectors and enthusiasts. Confentes are the type of bikes that people tend to wax poetic about. They’ll call Confente the “Holy Grail” of vintage bicycles, and draw comparisons to the likes of Stradivari. Perhaps all a bit hyperbolic but, among the hoards of vintage bicycles, Confente frames are truly the rarest of the rare. Their builder, Mario Confente, died at the young age of 34, having produced only 135 frames bearing his name. They command a high price, the combination of rarity, excellent craftsmanship, and perhaps also the drama and tragedy surrounding Mario Confente’s work and death all working together to drive the value for his frames higher with time“

It’s that weird cold where it’s not that cold but it’s cold enough that it gets to your bones with enough time. So I had to pull out the big guns to warm myself up.

Nine degrees and sunny in Toronto, mid-December? I’ll take it
-
@ARNC Have a good one! Hopefully your hangover isn't as bad on Saturday as mine is today!
-
@EdH That Sheepskin reminds me of one i had in the 80's, great for keeping you warm.
Embrace the retro. -
@Blueband Oh, I do embrace the retro. There's the sheepskin - indeed from the 80's - and did you spot the 'tache?
-
@EdH Dig the shearling I had one I used for years, handed down from my dad as well. Loved that coat, used it every winter until it disintegrated.

It’s not a 38, and it’s definitely not a 34…. but it was dirt cheap! I’ll still always want a 34 (hint hint, if anyone has a small that’s taking up wardrobe space), but what would life be without a wish-list?
Plus, I can wear this without worrying about cherry bombs.
