SEXIHXLSXA13 - Self Edge x Iron Heart x Leather Soul x Alden

I'm in SF for a couple days and just went to SE just to try these on.
I take a 34 waist in the 634s, 35 in 634 raw, and 36 in the 801, and I easily fit into the 32 in these (with a small amount of room to spare in the waist).
The thigh was as tight as it could be and still fit though…
Could've done a 31 but there's no way it would've worked in the thigh.
The denim felt great, much softer and and less heavy than the raws...I am so thrown off by the measurements. Sanforized denim should be more consistent with the tagged size. So based on the measurements, I would be a W29 or W30?!?! Great looking denim though…

Yea, those measurements are fully. This is a pair where I literally cannot wear my waist size without busting the thighs.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see these on people.

I don't think the measurement on there se is correct, I mean a 34 is 36.9 but only has a 12.5 inch thigh? No way, I bet it's not as big as it says
wow…
so If I wear a 32 in busters, I'd wear a 29 in these?
Curious as to why the tag size is so off..
If you're a 32 in the BB i'd say go for a 30 in this jean.
From Kiya, the owner of Self Edge… doubt they forgot how to measure.
-
they measure the thigh 1 inch down from the crotch. Please consider that when comparing against the measurements on Iron Heart UK which measures at the thigh.
Yup, that normally yields a thigh measurement that looks smaller if you're comparing it to measurements taken at the crotch seam.

I'm excited for these, I think the cut and denim is gonna be great. I sized based on the thigh, went one tag size down from my usual IH size.
I would be too if I already ordered them.
-
Other than the waist size, everything else seems to be the same fit as the SEXIH07BK. Just saying….......
Yeah but if I were to size down as recommended I would lose 1/2" to a 1" in the thigh, knee and leg opening. Do the measurements really match up to the 07 or is that just your opinion after wearing both? Kiya said over on his Superfuture thread that they are actually tagged wrong.
So who knows….
-
nerkg, what sort of insight are you looking for?

I agree with jaco. If you can't figure out how to size based on measurements, call Self Edge and ask. Tag "size" is always a recommendation, not a rule.
My concern is the waist:thigh ratio; it's just not right for me. Add in the tight, densely woven heavy denim, (way too hot for Houston weather) and I'm out.
I am interested in seeing other people's experiences with them, however.

for all those really interested all measurements are posted on SE to compare with fits that you might be more familiar with. this is the most talk i have seen about measurements in a little while :-\

Since there is no soaking involved, let's see everyone's fit who grabbed them. That should end the conversation in one way or another.
