@Blowoutthecobwebs Such a great episode. The taper discussion represents everything I was thinking, and sometimes writing about here. The Momotaro high tapered silhouette but done overengineered and in IH denims. One can dream...

When I first discovered Dean I thought he was incredible. Great guests and great topics.
I’m not a hater, but hope it’s ok to share my opinion without too much backlash…
He never stops talking. He talks over his own guests constantly. I always wish he’d let the guests talk more and put the focus on them. He is always bringing everything back to himself. Turned me off from his podcast.
Gave this a listen. Now he’s the guest…don’t think Olly said more than 50 words!

I don't think you're too off the mark there — he comes off as a bit of a bonehead sometimes. However, that comes with a big asterisk — I've always appreciated his enthusiasm and earnestness, and I've never heard him really be a dick about anything to anyone. The uber-fandom is pretty infectious. Funny that he had a podcast for a minute with Marc Maron, another one of my favorites who's also been notorious for talking over people, yet (to me at least) has always stayed likable due to his owning of his faults, a completely different set though they may be.
Anyhoo, I'm sure people I come across have their own story of that when it comes to me, and probably everyone they know. Rambling aside, I like Dean and am looking forward to this one.

(and I also think most comics will admit that being self-absorbed is pretty damn par for the course, haha)

@popvulture your point of Dean being very positive and not tearing others down is very valid. This is one of the first things I noticed about him that I really like.
I have a ton of appreciation for what he does and his passion. Just like Maron, though, who I dig quite a bit…I wish they’d let the guest do more of the talking. But like you said, they are talkers! Haha. It’s what they do. I personally enjoy a balanced back and forth report.

@Mizmazzle .. it was one of the less challenging eps in terms of driving the conversation.
