IHSH-389-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigo
-
Mine is delayed by weather, now I can just continue hoping it fits!
-
These look really short in overall length, not for a shirt in general, but for a CPO shirt. I have the IHSH-293 OD CPO and it is slightly longer than a typical shirt. Not sure I would like a CPO as short as this one appears...would it not make the pockets too high to be useful?

Stuck with my typical western/workshirt size (s) for this one. Fit feels good but is still slim in the sleeves but not to the point of being too tight. Reminds me of the fit of my kersey western. Love everything about this shirt though.

@jaasonmg Great fit! What cut jeans? 777?

These are actually 21oz 555 indigo snake. I have a pair of 777's but had to have them tapered. I'm a short dude so after a hem I end up with a massive leg opening. But with 555's it's not as bad so I kind of prefer that fit a bit more.

Might be in the same boat as Matt. Mine is cut very strangely. It took me a bit comparing to the sizing chart and my other size large CPO's but the 389 here is cut 1" short on the front length and also 1" short from the arm hole to the gusset. It became very clear that's what was wrong when laying the shirt flat/even and seeing a bunch of the rear hanging below the bottom of the front hem. This was further confirmed but measuring the full length of the front placket. Also I'm used to minor sizing chart variations but the sleeves are over 1" short and the sleeves measure notably narrower using the method on the work shirt thread. Going to try this on one last time later today, but think this is going to have to go back unfortunately. The fabric is glorious.

I might be wrong I personally think this shirt works better a little over sized so it allows the fabric to hang and shows it off at its best.

Wore mine today and I love it. The fabric is different from other sashiko pieces I own. This feels sturdier and less flimsy even though the fabric weights are similar. Was breezy and cool out (mid 40s F) and it kept me comfortably warm with just a tee underneath. As others have stated, the body length is shorter than other IH CPOs. Still works for me but if you are thinking about buying this definitely check the measurements for length if that is a concern for you. There is greater potential for showing butt crack if you lean over and are wearing low/mid rise jeans. I like to layer this over an untucked tee, so if you like to do the same this works best with some shorter length tees (e.g Warehouse 4601) if you don't want the undershirt to stick out past the hem of the CPO.

First new IH for me. Really loving this fabric and have been wearing it all day! So much texture and it lays pretty well on body. Anyone else a huge fan of this shirt?
-
Shirt looks awesome and looks like you nailed the fit!

@JohnnyRottern thank you man. I know understand the need for more but will have to wear this in before I think about getting anything else!

I really like this fabric!!! It is not like my other sashiko studio d'artisan I had at one point that I sold because it was very rough and unbreathable. I can't say if this one will make me sweat yet or not but the hand feel is the exact opposite.
It's very hard to measure because of the way the fabric lays so it took me a few times to make sure it was laid out as straight as possible. I only double checked measurements after all the talk here, no issues on my end but at first I thought there was because the shoulder measurement was off an inch, and that's when I realized it was hard to make it straight front and back.
This was overlooked by me at first and then the hype brought me back to it, and I had reservations because of my previous experience with what I thought this would be like. I really wanted a cpo so I gave it a shot.
