Anyone bought a ladies size for their partner for these and willing to share experience or photos? Alternative suggestions welcome for shirts. XS in normal sizes will not work, since p2p will need to stay below around 18,5"..
Considering to easy my conscience by spreading the IH love around to the female family members -
@Tobi Funny you mention this…here is a conversation from a couple of days ago: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/805000

@Mizmazzle my wife has reached the stage where she does not realize if anything is new. When she asks "is this new?" I answer honestly "nope", since I likely have worn it a couple of times at that stage....
My daughters check things out a bit more in detail: yesterday I had the 409ib over the 12oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt (still cold in DK), both with copper snaps: my youngest asked: dad- why are you wearing the same shirt twice!? -
@Tobi those two releases, so close together and so alike to untrained eyes were my biggest task yet to justify both to my wife
-
Works and she claims she likes it. P2P could be a little wider, but at least no more shrink
-
@T4920 nope just wearing it normally. I hated the bibs after the starch was applied. I hosed them down real good yesterday. Starch was like joke they were so ridiculously uncomfortable. I wouldn't let starch anywhere near a UHF either that would be a mess. I just wore it a lot, every night.

Another month, another wash:
Overdyed UHF fades: it is indeed possible to fade an overdyed flannel. I am over the Moon with the way these fades are starting to develop and evolve. The honeycombs, pockets and collar are all quite different than when it was new. To add to the wonder, I have only worn this shirt outside of the house a few times. Literally only a few times. These fades are a direct result of wearing this almost exclusively to sleep in throughout each night. It proves that evidently fades can occur while doing minimal activities. Worn nearly every night since it landed here in West Virginia.
This shirt is fresh from a wash and hang dry. The creases are set so well and I haven't even put it back on yet. The same thing occurred after the first wash, the combs were really set in there.
Outdoor overcast lighting vs. indoors under skylights.

Love it! @Oaktavia

@landrunner33 thanks dude

Small contribution to the fading potential of that shirt, worn a bit during summer with a backpack, showing signs of wear in the bottom of the back outside the flannel AND inside
Then worn as a pajama since the temperatures have cooled down.
It’s just so cozy to sleep with and not that warm, i never woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat actually
-
@Raisinoux looking good dude, it's so rad these OD UHFs have this fade potential. I'm looking forward to continuing the same with mine.
-
@Oaktavia @Raisinoux Just catching up on this thread. Actually nuts how these fade, but still the only real colour is the stitching. Thinking I should get one now.
I’m wondering how much (if any) crocking there was at night?
-
@Mister_Brue I hope you can find one in your size, I haven't checked to see if they are still in stock. I do not recall any OD crocking, not sure if that is a thing. But my sheets are dark blue anyway.
