@Mister_Brue me too, I just feel a little out of my comfort zone in a riders style jacket. Here’s hoping for a type 3

@Mister_Brue me either to be honest… a shirt then eh? You can never have too many indigo shirts, that’s just a fact

How’s the sizing on this jacket if I wear a medium size flannel shirt should I size up from a medium to large
-
It will depend, at least in part, on how you want to wear it. I'm almost always between large and medium in IH shirts. I usually go M in work shirts and L in westerns depending on the measurements. That said, I went M in this and it's a trim fit which is traditional for a rider. A UHF under this is pushing the limits but doable if I'm wearing it zipped up. Unzipped is not a problem. If you want a more relaxed fit, or if you need/want more length in the sleeves or body then you may want to size up. I hope that's helpful.

This is over a 7.5oz tee. I'm 5'9" and it hits right at my waistband.
The fabric has a rustic feel with plenty of texture.

@krebsy that looks like it’s going to fade like crazy! Congratulations on the pick up and please let us see some progress updates!
-
@krebsy this size looks just right on you,
I think the L would be to long in the arms for me medium sizing would work, like a work shirt on me. -
@krebsy Nice, very cool jacket. I think this one will age incredibly well. I'm a sucker for the shorter jacket cuts myself.

I now llive in Texas where the weather is super hot 8 months of the year and warm the rest of the time. Should I get this one or the 21oz model in order not to suffocate when I'm at a red light or a slow moving situation under the sun?

@Danimal506 sorry for the late reply. We're now in the middle of the "cold" season here in Austin.
I was hoping to score a leather jacket in time for the "cold" season from a brand in Scotland (wink wink) but the skin they ordered for it hasnt arrived yet...
So I ride with a modified type III IH jacket (the one dyed in indigo) over a tshirt, a thin merino hoodie and a regular hoodie with a scarf to block out the drafts and it's very, very bearable.
I just arrived back home from a 50 mile ride and it was beautiful. Man I love Texas

@gbougard That’s awesome. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the riding here. Texas really makes me want a motorcycle. Other than all the crazy drivers on the 35 haha
I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for a Type III out there!
