IHV-02-IND - 12oz Wabash/Duck Work Vest - Indigo/Navy
-
Vest fans! I need help. Either the IHV02IND or the incoming IHV02DD is going to be my first IH vest (fekk it, I may get both). Pictured here is my best fitting vest from another brand. I've measured it the IH way and I get a P2P of 54,2cm, a shoulder of 37.6 and an arm opening 27.5. These measurements put the vest around or inbetween L and XL in the IHV02IND (the IH vest will be shorter than this in front and back which is a good thing).
I'm wearing an IH medium tee in the pic (my normal size in IH tees because I like them snug) and I take an XL in most IH shirts.
Based on this info should I take an L or an XL? Any and all help/advice appreciated!

Wherefore, you wan't wait for the exactly measurements of the vest, till the garment is released?
It's misguided to make 'fixed sizes beforehand - too inaccurateBecause I'm enquiring about the IHV-02-IND on the appropriate thread, and those measurements are published. Also I doubt the IHV-02-DD will be much different. Don't worry Finskster I'm all about the exactness [emoji1][emoji106]

Bought this at FnC a few weeks ago. Have the black wabash and been looking to get this one for ages, such a beautiful fabric.
I checked out the RMC one last month and IMO the IH one is far superior. I am typically an XL in IH stuff, XXL in this for a roomy fit….
Apologies for shite iphone pics

Oh sweet, sweet day. After one thing and another (not least the Norwegian postal service fekking up) my IHV-02-IND arrived today. And it's a thing of beauty. Pics later (when the wife goes out )
For now I'd like to say thanks to @Giles for picking the right size for the kind of fit I wanted. Good work, Mr Padmore, good work.

The by-now-obligatory shite iPhone pic from the bogs at work (notice the pimping on the phone).
Couldn't be any smaller and I'm nervous of shrinkage, but this is definitely the fit I wanted. I sacrificed length for a well-fitted chest and got lucky on there too. Hint of belt buckle at the front and just meets/covers the belt at the back on my 666D and BB-SBG. Going to have to steer clear of 777's in the future though.
Beautiful fabric and of course well-made, but also surprisingly delicate. I'm very pleased.

Congrats @neph93! Absolutely superb fit Sir….
I wouldn't want it any longer, nice for the buckle to show and and you get to sit down without bending much of the bottom part when bottomed up.
You could add an inch or 2 in theory but I think yours is how it is supposed to fit - perfect in my book [emoji106][emoji106] -
Cheers @zatenm
I think a bit of belt, especially buckle is fine, good looking in fact, but too much shirt showing at the back is want I wanted to avoid, so this worked out well.
Just checked out your fit pics for the 02DD and we've come up about the same length-wise. I guess you must be taller than me (at least relative to weight) as it turns out the 02DD is in fact longer than the 02IND/BLK by a good 5cm so I might give that one a miss, which is a shame as it looks great. On the other hand it could be worn with lower rise bottoms… ::)

Very similar fits indeed! The shorter length unfortunately puts the wabbies (and most other IH vests) out of my reach.
Luckily, I could get away with ONE great vest that works (courtesy of Trail and arrow it must be said :D).
The wabby is such a beautiful piece though..! Wear it in good health Sir and do post some pics when you get the time
