Thanks Giles–I guess my main question is which size would be best for me (in either the 526J or the 526Jod, if it returns).
I have an oldish Levis jacket (sized M) that fits pretty well, but is just a touch larger around the shoulders than I'd like. So I was thinking of sizing down to a small. I'd like to get a pretty snug fit.
I guess I also wonder about the 21 oz weight--does a jacket like this need a lot of break in to get comfortable? I like having some stiffness so that the lines stay clean--but I've never worn or even handled anything in 21 oz weight.

The only way to get anything like accurate is to measure your Levi's jacket like this…..

And then compare with our sizing charts
My 21oz have never been uncomfortable the 21oz selvedge denim is super soft

Hey all! Have been buying Japanese selvedge denim for a long time (current favorites The Flat Head) but I'm new to this site. Can't believe it's taken me so long to discover! The forum looks great and the IH gear looks solid. I'm originally from Bermuda but now live near London (don't ask - I miss Bermuda already)…

What's up guys/girls? My name is Adam and I'm new around these parts. I've been lurking for about a month or so maybe, but, just decided to join so I could post and become a little more interactive and productive. I have to say, I'm a member on a lot of different forums, due to my several different hobbies, and the goods that brought me here have to be the most expensive stuff I've ever seen. That's not a bad thing, I'd rather Iron Heart's denim/clothing/accessories, be made by hand, the right way, therefore justifying the cost, rather than just another shitty brand that outsources their product to China. Not that there's anything wrong with China, there's a lot of fine artisans there, there's also a lot of sweatshops with very young children working in them for hardly anything rather than going to school.
Anyway, I live in Georgia, U.S.A. The good ole' dirty south! I recently started appreciating leather, mainly wallets, on my search for a new wallet. I ended up going with a maker right here in the states who does everything from the beginning to end his self. His name is John Faler, I'm sure most of you have heard of him. He is exceptional and the Horween Natural Essex mid wallet that he made me is pure perfection, but, I'm sure there's a different place for this, lol. Anyway, I will see everyone around and thank you everyone for having me!

I love Atlanta, however, I wouldn't want to live there. It is definitely one of those places to go every now and then if you want to have some fun. There's so much shit to do there. Two things I love to do are watch the Braves and the Falcons play. There's nothing like it. By the way, I live about 60-70 miles northwest of Atlanta in Rome, Ga. I'm content here. Thanks for the warm welcome!
