IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo PREVIOUSLY IH-555-01

For larger sizes I find this the best cut for someone looking for a slim fit looking jean. I think the added rise really helps. Personally I wish these were made in more denim styles.

So glad these are to be re-stocked. I have the 555 in SBG (superblack fade to grey) and, as some others have mentioned, they are far and away the best Iron Heart slim cut for my frame and taste. They blow the 301 out of the water. The higher rise on the 555 is more comfortable and satisfying. A killer cut.
I too would love to see the 555 offered in other 21 oz. denims. I'm having fun with the SBG but would buy a 555 non-fade superblack in a heartbeat. These just look so damn good with the black on black stitching. If 21oz superblack non-fade was offered I'd grab them.

Full restock now available! New measurement chart too as they are coming up a little larger than the previous batch. Including strangely enough, 1 x Tag 40

Actually now available, matt got a bit over-excited….
Anyway I could purchase the 29 and someone at IHUK look for a pair as close to 31 as possible there?
So this might be good news, my waist is a 32 and the tag size 29 is actually 30.7; if I order them and put up with them while they stretch I will end up with them at a 32? @Or is it just better to go with the 30 tag size and deal with them a bit baggier? I do want them in a more fitted look I hate when they become too large -
So after much experimenting with IH's fits, many purchases and subsequent loss taking resales on ebay, I have finally, finally found my fit.
The 555 in 21 oz is exactly what I was looking for, and only took me a year and a half to get there! My body type is 5'10" 180, medium sized thighs and fairly consistent 33 inch waist, and short-ish legs, that on regular trousers are 30 inch inseam, and I usually hem jeans to a 31 post-shrinkage. The problem with this build and most modern jeans is that many a "slim" jean when on a short legged body and hemmed to 31 inches no longer looks slim, or if they are, are way too tight in the top block, and straight leg jeans look like bell-bottoms!
Short version of my journey, that might help others puzzling over which IH fit is for them: Was looking for something slim but not too tight in the thigh and with narrower leg opening but not too tapered…Started with IH301s from SelfedgeSF, which did not work at all in the top block (weirdly tight in the waist, but baggy in the rest) but were perfect from the mid-thigh down.
Then moved to 666's in 18 ounce, which were a wee bit tight in the top block but I worked on them for a while and got them stretched out decently but was never happy with how wide the leg looked from the knee down on my short legs, then moved onto the 633s...which looked like the description was solved my problem with the 666, but turns out while they were too baggy in the top block, the knee definitely looked too big on my short legs.
I had looked at the 555's before bit and partially because of their description as being "Super-Duper Slim" and the knee to leg seeming a bit narrow, I had shied away. Decided to take one more leap into the IH fit world before I gave up as I like the aesthetic and quality so much.
Well turns out the 33 waist in the 555's, when hemmed to a 31 inches, are exactly what I was looking for and aren't, at least on my body type, super duper slim at all, but are a perfect regular slim jean, with plenty of room in the top block and the perfect leg opening that doesn't seem skinny at all. Maybe the "Super-Duper Slim" description should be reserved for the 777 fit?!
UPDATE: I almost forgot one of the additional and for me at least, best features of the 555, a "normal" medium rise! Most jeans that fit like this have stupidly low rises.
