@Haddtoo:
It's official, I've outgrown my 555-01 in a size 30. It has taken 2 1/2 years of marriage.
It's official I'm back in them…..dropped twenty....right in time for the holidays

Mornin'
Having been introduced to the merits of IH last year when @Filthy 21/23oz junkie was kind enough to offer up some 25oz IHxB01, I was hooked and knew I needed to pick up some more. It has taken a while but I am pleased to say I have just started to break in some of the fantastic 21oz IH555-01's.A month or so ago, I was visiting London and took the opportunity to visit "Rivet and Hide" its a great place to shop, the guys are super knowledgeable and friendly. This was my first bricks and mortar denim shopping experience which was a revelation; shopping online is kinda blind even if you know your preferred measurements.
I also took advantage of their free hemming service in store; I only needed a little off the 36 length to achieve the neat double cuff I was after. I surprised myself how much I enjoyed watching the process and it was a good opportunity to indulge the inner denim obsessive, they even let me video the process! Examining the offcuts provided an insight into how the denim acquires its weight, the threads are super thick, and also exposes the white core of the "warp" hinting at what is to come in the evolution of the fades.
As is my habit, I have posted a little review on my YouTube, check it out, there is some footage of the hemming if that is of interest.
Best regards,
Chris -
I'm glad you ended up loving Iron Heart as much as we all do here. You are in for a treat because the 21 oz denim is extra soft and extra awesome. Great review.. Happy New Year to you Brother! @DevonReviewer

@Dion @neph93 thanks for the feedback, really enjoy YouTube as a platform… slowly getting better at making videos, it was nice to have some footage to cut in so its not just me yappin'
@Filthy 21/23oz junkie and thank you for getting me hooked, those 25oz are so soft and comfy, warm but not hot, the only downside is for me the more generous cut needs heavier boots to balance the look so I only currently wear with a christie sole moctoe (either Thorogood, or Red Wing) which means less frequently. The 555 cut works well with everything for me, so hopefully I can get those fades going!

The 21 oz denim is sort of stubborn to fade. But you can get high contrast fades with them with gentle washing and by adhering to some of the concepts I shared here (although some write it off as snake oil or unnecessary): https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9785.0

Thanks, some good tips in there especially about the leather tags. I have developed a similar approach but currently a believer in the Samurai Thunder Soap;
30 mins 40 Celsius soak with soap, then 2 x 30 mins cold soak with clean fresh water, hang to drip and dry naturally on wooden hanger through two belt loops.Will see what the first wash brings, probably June / July!

That's right, I forgot I told you about that before. My memory isn't too great any more.

Another wash with these, they just keep getting better & better.
