IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo PREVIOUSLY IH-555-01

Looks good to me. How do you like them?
I love them!
One thing though, can I hot soak the jeans? I asked because there are some places I'd like them just a bit tighter.

I think they look very good. I’m afraid a hot soak won’t make much difference as this denim is fully sanforised and will not shrink.

I’ve personally found that putting the jeans in a hot drier, after washing, makes way more difference than just a hot soak. Your jeans will definitely tighten up a little, but will eventually stretch out a little in the waist, where you put the most pressure. You also might get a little shrinkage in the length.

I'll make sure I wear belt in case they stretch out too much.

More fit check:
I started wearing these jeans today, I must say these jeans are great. I like them more and more. the quality, what can I say, is top notch.
I want to get them hemmed though, they are a bit long for my short legs. I really have zero experience getting jeans hemmed, can experts here please tell me what should I be aware of before getting them done? and what kind of tailors are best for these works? I live in a small city so choices are not that many. Also what things should I tell the tailor (if any) just in case I screw them up?
*edit: spelling

Ideally they should be chainstitched, but not many tailor shops offer that option, mostly it’s just denim specialty shops. Where do you live?

Thanks for your reply, I live in Cork, Ireland.

good advice thanks.

good advice thanks.
Should be a fairly quick turnaround and they will do a great job on a machine that will recreate the original stitch. The only downside is you’ll have to decide the correct length yourself. To do this measure the inseam of a pair you already have, that are at a length you like. Take it from there.

Finally got my 555-01's back from repair from the Denim Doctor. Reinforced crotch, with a small darned hole. small darned start of a hole on the thigh. My favourite jeans by far.
-
Just got my pair in today. They are super nice! Maybe it’s the heavy nature of the denim but my thighs feel tight. Waist is ok, plus I know it will stretch. Will the thighs loosen up and stretch?

They should give, not much, but I’ve had an inch or 2 of stretch on mine.

Getting thighs to stretch isn't easy, but the 21oz is pretty forgiving. You should be able to get a quarter inch, maybe a half inch.

Feel tight or are visibly tight?
I think feeling tight is ok. These are slim and the thigh tapers meaningful. As you say, the denim is heavy and they are new. Looking tight (leg like a stuffed sausage) is another thing. Thighs don’t stretch much as @Chris says but the 21oz is forgiving and they will loosen and relax some. Pics will help.
