My dad in his size 31 pair. I brought him to Tuckshop and tried introducing him to the Triple Works 634N but he surprised me by buying the 555-01s. I never thought that it would fit him so well.

Guys, I need some opinions on my fit. These are size 29 and I'm not sure if it's the right size. Do they look too big on me? I'm most worried about the waist even though I always wear a belt. (I wear a size 30 for the BB Raws).

That's how mine fit and I sized up. I personally love that fit. Looks great to me.

So I wore the jeans today and they were great except for this.

The bulgy part of the pocket bag kept pressing onto the side of my hip and it was quite uncomfortable as it hurt (only on the right side). I'm not sure if there's any way to make it less "bulgy".

Anyone else with the same problem?

Yea, they should be fine, just treat them like any other pair of heavyweight raw denim, a week (or a few) of torture for months upon years of pleasure.

Small restock of missing sizes

This question may not belong here, but I just saw this on the Self Edge newsletter and it made me curious…

"We've just received a large restock of the popular 301s jean from Iron Heart which now has a visible selvedge outseam. We worked with Iron Heart to tweak the way the outer leg is cut to preserve the selvedge edge of the fabric while maintaining the slim tapered fit the 301s is known for."

So, does that mean the 301 is now more like the 555-01??

If you check the measurements there's very little difference between the two. The leg opening is more or less the same on the 555-01 and the 301s. The 301 has a lower rise though (I prefer the 555 for this reason).

I have had both cuts the calf  was definitely slimmer on 555. Could just be my pair. Also remember IH and SE measure differently.

The IH site says the w34 actually measures 35.5 inches. Anyone find they measure closer to an actual w34? No idea how to size!
