IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo PREVIOUSLY IH-555-01

Just washed mine for the first time.
After around 4-5 months of wear, they really needed a wash, as my part time job is in a warehouse/storeroom they get alot of dust, sticky tape, cardboard rash (it's a real thing) and sweat.I didn't take any 'before shots of the proper side, but i though this was pretty cool!!

Can anyone who owns both these and anything that is 25 oz. comment on the similarity of the denim? Does the 21 oz. have the same super soft, silky, (suede-y?) feel that the 25 oz has after it has been worn for a while? Thanks.

Thanks Giles!

Have you guys done any hot soaks? I was wondering if a hot soak would make the rise shrink a little… So far, these are the best pair of jeans I've ever owned! But sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten a 28 instead of a 29. They feel a little loose without a belt. My BB Raws in size 30 are slightly smaller in the waist than my size 29 555-01s.

hot soak/wash won't hurt the denim but it might mangle your patch.
oh & the 21 oz denim stretches like nobodies bizness, so in a few days you will be pretty much back where you are now.
just rock out with them & admire that you can bend down with out your entire top of your ass hanging out of your denim

Yeah, I've seen a few fried patches before.
I just thought that a hot soak would bring up the rise a little.
It's not that I don't like the rise, but I just thought that a slightly lower rise would be better.
And after thinking about it, getting the size 29 was the right thing to do. I forgot that I'm not done growing! -
Hahaha, please post! This thread needs more love…
Haha, I just noticed rocket's posts. I think he was going to comment about the "excited" state of the 21oz denim…
It might have been earlier in this same thread, but others have mentioned how the IH fly often unwittingly pitches a tent, especially while seated when the jeans are new (I mean, it's 5 or so layers of 21oz denim sandwiched together). It's not as bad after you break them in!
