IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

You definitely won't have to worry about plumbers crack with the 33, plenty of rise rear and front. I can get you some measurements later on, I rotate between a couple pairs though, so probably only about 2 weeks of effective wear. I am wearing a belt and putting little to no stress on the waist to stretch though. I also got abit over a half inch of shrinkage in the waist from an initial soak.

In response to "user" as per discussion from the last page, as I couldn't seem to figure out how to properly use the quote function:
After a few weeks and an initial hot soak my 33 555-03s are at
Waist 35" - after.5" initially lost from a soak
Front rise - 11"
Rear rise - 16"
Thigh - 12" (shrank a bit and I haven't stretched it back out
Knee - 8"
Hem - 7.5"
Inseam - hemmed to 34.5, shrank to a bit longer than 33.5"Any chance you can give me some measurements of yours as they've stretched out?
-
Yeah, really nice Finn666. "Suit you sir".

Any thoughts as to whether I could pass these off as business casual (initially anyway)?
I'm at one of those workplaces where I can only do jeans on Friday, but if these appear to be dressy enough…
-
Yes, you can. I wear mine with dressy boots and a black suit jacket for the cases I need to look decent, but don't need a full suit. Works perfectly. But you need to be careful, as they fade. Maybe the 666SB is the better choice.

I agree, I'm torn between the two.
555 waist to thigh is absolutely spot on perfect for me. 666 would necessitate me sizing up in the waist due to those thighs. Trying to weigh the certainty of 555 evo vs the fact that they would only be worn twice a week tops over the less perfect fit but far longer work usable lifespan of the 666. I don't know if you or anyone else has thoughts on how the feel of the denim between the two compares?
-
I don't have superblack 666s, but I do have some 9301s that are made of the same denim, and it is tough as nails. Very stiff and stubborn, especially initially. After some wear, it softens up a bit, but when you wash it goes back to being pretty hard stuff. I don't own any of the fade-to-gray denim, but since it is also 21oz. I assume that it might be closer in feel to the flagship 21oz. denim which has a very soft feel and nice drape straight from the beginning.
-
The SBG denim is not as soft as the 21 indigo denim. it takes some days of wear to soften up, but feels comfy after that. SB is a different beast, very stiff and heavy.
I can't make the 666SB thighs work neither. The 555 are perfect in the top block and if you wear them only occasionally or in the office they will last you long enough.

Just measured a pair of some slim fitting jeans (Levi's 511) I own using the "how we measure" techniques.
These are a bit stretched out at this point but they measure:
W 34
FR 10
RR 13
TH 12.5
K 8
H 7These are pretty tight on my calves and I'm looking for a slightly more straight cut. So I was thinking I could go with a 34 in the 555-03?
Can someone tell me some stretched out measurements on a 34?
Thanks!

I wear my 34 at the moment. From my memory / gut the waist is wider, approx 35-36", the rise higher and the thigh pretty much the same as your measurements. From the knee down they feel tight on me. If that's not what you're after, try another cut.
